In that question of december 2017 of 4 marks. You have considered 4n+2 system by considering 3 pi bonds. But if we consider 2 pi bonds and 4n pi electron system we get the same product. Plz look towards it how will we differentiate??

if you consider 2 pi bonds and 4 pi system then under thermal condition it will show con rotation and in the product you will get trans hydrogen which is not as per the given question. here both hydrogens are cis to each other. so that condition is not valid here.
