Imo the biggest issues with shooting is the high risk low risk options, everyone needs to be on the same playing field for it to be even, having someone only able to hit greens and another hitting yellow contested whites is dumb as hell. People should never have a real player option for anything.

I was shooting over 75% from 3 with an 87 3pt 6'9 SF that could do everything in 24, so I get balancing it out a bit. Shooting around 54% in 25 with essentially the same build. To me, if I'm taking wide open standstill catch and shoot threes, in a lethal zone, coming from a hall of fame dimer, I shouldn't miss that shot. But with RNG, it happens rather often.

Honestly if they want to please both the casuals and comp side ,I said they should add an actual green window to high risk jump shots, it’d actually make the name of the option make sense, if you want to green or miss and make the shots your supposed to make, meaning your a competent shooter, turn on high risk high reward, if your not so good at shooting and you want the game to assist your shooting (being able to make whites) then turn on normal risk, normal reward, in that instance there can be rng and algorithms in the shooting similar to how shooting mostly is now. With low risk, low reward being similar to real player percentage close to what it is right now

@@landobreezy2k55 he just said the other day that the game has at least a 96% green window. And he said that could be off because mods aren't perfect he said it may actually be 100% pure green. He also mentioned input lags which could throw somebody off if they aren't looking at their release point. It definitely has done that to me a couple of times. Now, what I do think is actually going, and nobody is mentioning it is how there's a different release point on every area of the floor. I noticed it in the beginning of the year fairly quickly because I was struggling trying to figure out why my shot was so inconsistent. I take most of my 3s from the elbows. I noticed I got a different release point on both. And yea I also noticed it's different in both corners as well and also different at the top of the key. Not to mention the further back you go that changes it even more.

He did however mention that it does slightly drain stamina just a little bit when u adjust weight. But body style doesn’t affect speed. There is no difference in movement with different body types. It’s an optical perception that it moves faster because having a thick body and arms makes movements less obvious because the size itself takes up more width. Slimmer body and arms makes your movement look bigger. Record the exact same dribble combo with both body types and put them side by side.

If you play on high risk then switch to normal risk you’ll see that RNG very noticeably.. sometimes I’m coming from lethal shooting and forget to turn high risk back on and I go into a rec or proving grounds game and brick like crazy and then I’ll have 40+ point game and timing does not matter.. I dropped 46 in a game the other day on normal and to me it seemed like timing was out the window was hitting everything. Thought I was on high risk then I hit back to back whites on a 3 and a spin jumper.. that rng is crazy either way

I’ve actually reached out to 2k about this after I made my 5’9 build.. I made a 5’8 185 with 73 strength and it made my guy look like a body builder. Even on normal my dude looks like I’m 250lbs because of the 73 strength. I’ve changed it did everything and I played vs another 5’9 with less strength and he was flying on the court even though my speed and speed with ball was way higher but because 2k gave me a bigger body even on normal my guy was way slower. I told 2k it needs fixed and all they said is that it’s not a problem with the game.. I was PISSED basically wasted money on a 5’9 with 94 speed with ball and 90 speed just to be way slower than a build with 91 speed with ball and 86 speed. Blows my mind!

If you got your release down you should be rewarded, matchups should be tiers of timing, so say out of 100 shots, maybe put all players in a shooting rep system that is all from 3pt range, say they have to attempt 50 shots on certain spots & each 5-10 mark is a tier, if you hit 5-10 out of 50, your F tier, you'll only play F tier people, 10-15 D tier, 40 is A tier, 45 is S tier, evening the rest out for in between F-S tier. I think this would be way better.

If this true then I hate it so much. I have a sg that had become slow seemingly over night. I mean it felt incredibly sluggish. I haven’t used that build in weeks and you tell me that maybe it’s my body type… they just know how to turn people off with this game

The biggest diff from this 2k and partially 2k24 compared to other 2k’s is as simple as this. In previous 2k’s you were in complete control of your player. This year we have about 10-15% control of our players meaning it’s just input related and then 2k takes care of the rest. Meaning we are not in control of our players… 2k is. Having this understanding changed my play style completely and I seem to be having more success. Still buggy af and way too many exploits to be fully enjoyable but that’s the gist

I thought I was tripping when I was playing playnow knowing for a fact I'm cooking but somehow these other players were just making insane shots seemingly with no effort and with the button. I'm talking early, slightly early, late and shooting lights out smh.

I noticed the game only lets 1 or 2 ppl score 20+ a game if it your time to shine cool. if im not that guy for the particular game i pass more or focus on defense . Usually by the 4th qrt or second half in general the game eventually will let u shine bt u have to play with ppl willing to pass even after you miss 1 or 2 or 8 times 😅

I shot 63% in 24 and I’m at 57% in 25. That being said, I personally don’t have a problem but I do feel a difference lol. It’s clear as day the game doesn’t want you draining threes…

Keep pure green windows... Allow challenger badge to actually work... And... get rid of half the shooting badges. 2k gives us all those shooting badges to shoot through the defense... But then complains about not liking the unrealistic shooting percentages...🤦

Shot contest should only affect the result of the shot and not the shot timing, if they want rng they should use it on shot contest results

I would disagree players was making lates and early in previous 2ks for YEARS the only reason we notice the RNG so much now is because we went from green or miss to this so now it’s More noticeable but RNG always been prevalent in 2K until green or miss became a thing

Was up 15 in the 4th quarter. 3 mins in and score is even-couldn’t make a bucket. Final score won by 16. Sometimes 2k wants you to miss. Sometimes they’ll let you make it.
