I like how Meg choosing her oceans, but won't let others choose their desert like the Arizona desert will be easy to traverse. Plus when you move in water you will loose body heat faster and get tired quicker. If you just float 3 things can happen a ocean moment will take you somewhere which will make you more loss 2 you'll be mistaken for something and animals would mess with you 3 you stay in the same area and loose body heat over time and the sunlight who damage your skin causing a higher risk of affection. There is more that can happen Basically what I'm saying is go for the desert.
