There is literally no difference between resort guests and non resort guests now except for the 30 minutes of “extra magic hours” as it pertains to the genie + system or waiting in line.

@@x3dominator28 You can buy the Individual Lightning Lane at 7 AM if you are staying on property, at park open if you're not. So they do sell out. And the 30 minutes is an advantage when it comes to FOP, so that would be a big difference.

You should do a test to see how long it takes to get between each park using a different method of Disney transportation. Have four of you all start at different park and you can only use each method once. Skyliner, bus, boat and monorail. It would be interesting to see which method to get between each park is quickest.

I would love to hear the consensus on if non-resort guests should avoid parks on the days with extended magic hours available to deluxe resort guests to beat the crowds? Or tips overall to avoid crowds! It’s hard to plan reservations/park order strategically 😜

I would LOVE to see a park hopper series! What parks are the best to rope drop and what parks are better in the evening. Which 2 parks work best for same day. MK/AK? HS/EPCOT? I cant really see a good MK/HS hopper day, too much to do in each park... Please film this series!

Yes… please do a video series where you visit each park for only the morning (rope drop until lunch (noon)). That would be very helpful for us with young children who usually leave the parks after lunch for nap time. Thanks Molly!

Without Genie+ or ILL, I would still probably choose to rope drop Na'Vi River Journey, then go directly to Kilimanjaro Safari, and save Flight of Passage for the last few minutes of park opening. Na'Vi is a short enough ride that you can get it in first before the safari line gets too long. If you try the reverse, Na'Vi will already have a really long line by the time you get off the safari. You can fill in the rest of the day with the other rides, walking trails, animal exhibits, and shows with a nice long lunch break mid-day. You could even take a short break and leave the park to go explore Animal Kingdom Lodge for a bit.

Can confirm, got to AK at 6:10am (resort guest) was part of the first group for FOP when the park opened at 7, then got on NRJ and was thru pandora by 7:45. Went right to safari (first trip was 8:30), saw most of the animals, and got on Dinosaurs by 9:25 and only had a 20 min wait. I did almost the same thing 2 days in a row. (Edit: this was a Saturday and Sunday)

I'm not too surprised that Animal Kingdom has a lot of long lines, especially with Everest being down. There's not really a ton of rides in this park, and by extension, not many filler attractions compared to other parks. It doesn't even really have the benefit of most of the other parks where there's multiple options for shows if you want to just sit down, possibly in the AC. There's Festival of the Lion King, and the Animation Experience, which is kind of out of the way since you need to take the train up there.

When I was at animal kingdom about two weeks ago I had a complete opposite experience! Everything was under the posted minute wait despite it being very busy. It was on a Sunday so I guess it depends on the day. I even got to ride flight of passage right before the park closed as only waited 30 minutes.

One of my favorite things to do at Disney's Animal Kingdom is to ride the Safari in the late afternoon. And then, I get in line again and ride the Safari a second time. Generally the wait time on the second go around is shorter. Also - as Molly mentioned, the Hyenas are usually out on the Savannah by that time and the Elephants and Rhinos are more frisky than during the heat of the day. Another good thing to know is that the Elephants LOVE it when it rains! - so don't let a brief afternoon shower scare you away 🙂

Our family is older and our Disney vacations usually used to consist of our resort pool most of the day, and then our 3 fast pass rides at night and dinner. And whatever else had a shorter line. We are dvc and aph so we come often, and don’t feel the need to go on every ride every time we are there, or be in the parks all day every day. We are wondering if we’ll really be able to get on many rides doing it this way with the new genie +

Would love an afternoon series! As much as I would love to rope drop, my kiddos find it difficult to wake up before 7am we always make it at regular park open, which is terrible timing really (with FP/genie we make it work) but would be interested on touring plans that focus on the afternoon, esp for families like mine who have been more than once now and don't need to get everything done in the park (bc 1/2 day at any park isn't going to accomplish it all - though if anyone could do it it'd be Molly!)

I was at Animal Kingdom on March 23. The Safari ride had a 65 minute wait around 4 pm. The line zig-zagged mostly outside of the normal under cover area, but it continually moved. We were on the ride in 30 minutes.

The wait time for FOP is always posted as being a long wait at the end of the night, but it pretty much never is. We always end the night there and find the wait time to be hugely inflated. We were just there on Monday for last ride of the night and it was 15 minutes on a posted 60. Same with Mine Train, Slinky Dog and Ratatouille. The wait times tend to be somewhat accurate during the day, but at the end of the night, things get much more inflated.

My two oldest had this experience Christmas 2019. The posted wait was 3 hours and they waited less that an hour. I also checked with a cast member about transportation after park closes because they were going to have to take the bus back to AofA. She said the buses run until everyone gets home. My kids ended up on a bus that stopped at Pop and AofA but the driver checked with them that they were in the right place before he left them.

Love your videos! My Dino obsessed 5 year old LOVED the Dinosaur ride - not scared at all (even I think it’s kinda scary!). He would like to point out that the dinosaur statue that used to be there before Aladar (what you show in the picture) is actually a Styracosaurus not a triceratops 🙂.

So question… can you book your 7am Genie + for something not at the park you have a reservation for? Ex: my reservation is for AK, but I want to park hop over to HS later, so I just grab the Genie + for Slinky since I know it goes fast triggering the 120 min rule and use standby for AK?
