Tom Kindt Universal Studios has more attractions where you just sit and watch while in a 4D setting whereas Islands of Adventure right across from the park at Universal has a lot more physical rides I’d say. If you can get a park hopper for universal, you’ll also be able to ride the Hogwarts Express from the train stations

IT’S A BLAST! I highly recommend staying at the Pacific Royal, Hard Rock or Potifino at Universal. Those resorts give Express Passes for the entire family which works out to be the cost at the resort, No lines? Yes please! Express passes work far better than Disney fast passes.

Jered Berge, I've been there. Although I'm the last person you should ask for vacation advice, I do say this: you need to seriously invest two entire days minimum to Universal. You will need every minute of it. Oh, and don't forget, hot butterbeer goes away when winter season ends so if you plan to go, call Universal guest services ahead of time. They'll let you know the cutoff date for the drinks. It tastes interesting and despite what KZbinrs claim, there are 2-3 ingredients that are kept a tight secret so no, you can't replicate it at home. I liked the hot butterbeer much more than iced butterbeer.

April Gum just curious, what didn’t you like about them? I used his videos to plan 2 Universal trips last year. I love Molly, she is very likable, and I am glad she is showing Universal some love. But the information she gives isn’t any different than RixFlix or Tim Tracker. (Still would love to see more videos from her at Universal.)

Molly mentioned the Hogs Head beer is only found in Universal. If you're in the other side of the park where "Springfield" is, they serve real Duff beer! I tried it and it's a decent brew, it's not bitter or nasty like some beers. It goes well with meats like corn dogs.

I had way more fun at Universal than I did at Disney during my most recent trip. The parks had so much more fun scenery, there was a lot more open space (exception being Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade), less crying little ones, and so many more rides to choose from that weren't for little kids. I found that Disney had wayyyy too many dark rides and not enough regular rides. Plus I splurged on the Unlimited Express pass and was able to enjoy myself rather than wait in long lines all day or having to try and finagle with Genie+.
