So I’m not sure if this is too niche, but I would love to see a perfect day video for NON resort guests. Or maybe just a video full of tips for people not staying on property, who still want to maximize their Disney days. Just a thought since Disney hotels are so pricey and not everyone can afford to stay there :)

@Samantha i can agree with that. I just know more people are staying off site more nowadays and it would be nice to see a real time representation of that, if possible. I’ve exclusively stayed on site my last 7 trips, but no longer can as my family size exceeds the room allowance. They say it’s tough to get a LL for rise of the resistance or FOP if you’re not a resort guest, so it would be nice to see how true that is.

I think the biggest challenge for me with Genie+ is that with fastpass I could book those three must-do rides ahead and plan my day around them AHEAD of time. Then on the day I would just follow the route I created with my fastpasses and I had a general plan to fill the time between with smaller rides, all the dining I wanted and all the non-ride stuff without having to zig-zag. Even if didn’t get the times I wanted with fast pass I had 2 months to plan out my route for optimal relaxation/magic lol. Now I have to figure it out on the day and as the planner in my family, that’s a lot of pressure when you are kind of the “guide”.

Genie Plus is terrible. Having to set my alarm for 6:50am every morning was am awful way to spend a vacation. Staying on my phone all day trying to line up rides that were never in the right place at the right time was beyond a disaster. At least with Fastpass you could plan three rides in advance with times already allocated and could plan to ride attractions in the vicinity of booked fastpasses during those times. This system is beyond worthless. Definitely not worth the money.

The more i learn about this (having used fastpass that did take some planning, but that was more in advance) the more I dislike it, I don't want to have to (as a foreigner to america) rely on disney wifi and carry a battery pack with me, to constantly be checking my phone.

We were actually in the standby line that day, for Ratatouille, as you were going in! We thought we spotted you, but weren’t sure. It was posted at 80 minutes, but it was more like 60. Luckily, it was one of the only long lines we waited in that day (Frozen was the other). We rope dropped Test Track at 8am, as resort guests, and we were able to walk on almost everything in Future World within the first two hours, no genie+ needed.

been loving the content lately. i’d like to see how you would navigate each park with a larger group who has all different preferences (people who aren’t interested in rides or older people/babies or people who want to rope drop) and still have a perfect day. it’d be really interesting to see how you integrate fun for everyone in i diverse group which lots of families are. i’m sure this would be a complex video but i’ve never seen anything like it

We did something similar to this in MK. I stacked G+ after 5p and did shows and walk on rides in the daytime. We had a great day.

We did 7 Lightning Lanes in one day…13 rides total at Magic Kingdom. The key to mastering Genie Plus is to go at Rope Drop with your first lightning lane booked already at 7 am. Then 2 hours AFTER park opens, u can book another ride even if u didn’t ride your first lightning lane ride yet. Keep booking rides throughout the day as soon after u tap into your lightning lane ride. That way, u always have lightning lanes rides stacked up. I thought I would hate the new system but it actually worked out pretty darn well.

There's no bus to Hollywood studios or epcot from those resorts unless the skyliner is down unfortunately.

I stayed at aoa in February and it was 100% worth it to stay on the skyliner. There was always a HUGE line starting around 7:00 but once the skyliner starts running it moves fast. If you really want to rope drop, I would recommend getting to the skyliner line by 6:45. There was hardly a line at the CBR hub! Also the bus line for MK at AOA was insane so we took an Uber. (My 2 cents - I’ve stayed at many resorts at all levels and AOA is my favorite! It feels so fun and happy and like you are AT Disney!)

It's okay Molly! It's hard to grasp the new neighborhood names when the neighborhoods are partially under construction and behind walls. The walls that move us around the area can be confusing as to where you are in each neighborhood. I think WDW should have waited a bit to introduce the new names, until more was complete.

Fastpass+ was THAT GIRL, I think its better to be able to plan 30 or 60 days in advance instead of waking up everyday at 7:00AM hoping & praying that I get a LL. With fastpass+ you could ride the same ride more than once.. for FREE. Now with LL you can only ride.. once for $15, with a chance of even getting them & then paying extra money for certain rides. Fastpass+>LL

So… Even though we are Disneyland Magic Key holders, and they also have this Genie+ nonsense…. I am confused about you getting Remy and Test Track so close in time. Is that because buying an individual LL for Remy (or whatever other extra cost ride) is not counted as a “Genie+” choice so therefore you can make a reservation for both at the same if they are available?

We rope-dropped Remi (as a resort guest, coming in via the Skyliner - best choice if you have that option) on our first day in EPCOT last month. After an hour wait, the ride went down when we second in the line just before boarding - they gave us an experience pass to come back later. It was really overhyped. And I think what you said was perfect. Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance are much better rides. We went multiple days to the parks over our vacation and with Genie+ we could focus on one big ride each day and then see what pops up throughout the day. And then grab what we missed the next day immediately at 7.

I could never get myself together enough to plan 60 days out (Until they sort of required to you book a specific park per day I really hated sort of locking myself in before I even knew what the weather would be like) so I really didn't see the difference between Genie+ and Fastpass+ besides the cost. Because I used these extreme videos to figure out how to efficiently mix fastpass (now lightning lanes) and standby to basically doing every ride I wanted. The exception would of course be Animal Kingdom. July 2020 was the first time I rode those rides. Because they were a walk on. And cool, but I don't know that they are 3 hours standby cool.

I can’t speak for Molly and I haven’t been since Jan 2020, but I fiddle faddled before Molly coined the term for years using a variety of carriers, including the cheapos. I believe I had cricket when I was last there.

How was Molly able to snag Test Track and Remy at the same time? I thought you could only get one at a time. I felt so claustrophobic on Mission:Space. I had no idea that the console closes in on you while the door closes. I was wondering why there were so many chances to back out. As soon as the door closed, panic had set in and I wasn’t sure how long we’d be in that tight space before the ride actually started. Luckily there wasn’t too much time before it did. I almost banged on the door! I will try to avoid any rides that provide their own puke bags, excluding airplanes, lol! Thank you so much, Molly and All Ears team for your great content!

Luckily we go to Disney for the theming and experience not just rides. I refuse to spend so much of my vacation stressing over an app trying constantly to book rides, we just take the day as it comes. We recently had friends who went to Disney and they said it was the most stressful vacation they ever had. Maybe Molly should hire herself out to constantly "fiddle faddle" for people who aren't tech savvy and just want to enjoy their vacation 🤔

This Challenge video at EPCOT is helpful and glad the Connections Cafe is now open. I truly hope Molly can go to California soon cuz it is sooo exciting that the night-time spectacular shows are now returning to DISNEYLAND (Main Street Electical Parade & fireworks show) plus DCA World of Color) it would be such a treat to see how you would incorporate these shows along with the monorail on your visit to these California parks❣️🚂✨️🌈✨️🎆✨️

Yes EpCoT was the easiest to book all rides on Genie+. We got to ride all the rides before 12pm! Test track was the best for us. I suggest Remy first n can get Frozen after easily. Rest of rides can easily get booked

It will always be Future World to me, too, they split it into too many neighborhoods…. I could see nature world for the land and sea pavilions. Space World for mission space, etc. but -- world celebration?!? What does that even mean? It means they had no central concept for everything else so they threw them together randomly. And YES I always wonder if they would change the end of Soarin’ since Epcot doesn’t look like that any more

My wife and I just got home from our WDW vacation. We stayed at Pop and rope dropped Epcot on our first day. Such a great time, other than test track we had rode every ride by noon. A little tip for those who stay at pop, you can take the skyliner when it opens for Hollywood Studios at 630 despite the sign saying 7 am for Epcot. By us doing this we had to wait a few moments at Caribbean Beach transfer but we walked on Remy when the park opened for early entry.

Technically Remy did come before Rise of the Resistance. It has been in Paris for a long time before Galaxy Edge.
