Please keep to authentic South Sudanese cultural practices! You don’t need to copy anyone else’s ways in your movies. As South Sudanese and in fact Bari, we need to be proud of our own culture. I wanted to watch this movie but just couldn’t because it reminded me of Nigerian movies too much. Stay true to who you are!!! Surely we have enough stories of our own to recreate. Bari are GREAT storytellers and poets, we don’t need to copy anyone!! Please!

lovely movie, but I reckon the inspiration came from west African movies because Sudanese actually don't hurt anyone for profit, they actually believe the opposite, they believe it's haraam, they value human life above anything else, and believe in helping each other, elders are also not evil, but helpful in the community because they believe that a good name is better than any wealth. but they love to enjoy life. they also don't like to do anything degrading including bad jobs. that part is accurate, they also help each other a lot, which is accurate as well.
