There is nothing wrong with synthetic material used for the heel stack. I've never seen one fail. They don't melt in the heat, absorb rain water, or otherwise disintegrate.

Hey, new sub here, I was wondering have you tried any of the Indian bootmakers? Specifically BLKBRD Shoemaker, but also Bridlen and Craft&Glory but to a lesser extent? The BLKBRD Dixons are the boot I purchased, love them. I feel as if they are kind of a thursday boots killer (to an extent). Very similar to the Captain but seemingly better materials (except for the upper leather itself, its just ok).
