Almost every question Ariel has for a UFC fighter is designed to make the UFC look bad. Could discuss how great MVPs walkouts are and maybe his favorite and what he dreams to walkout to before he retires a lot of conversations to be had but no it’s Dana’s a bad guy he wouldn’t let you etc. He’s corny his journalism has gotten very lazy into click bait and with all the great journalists in the space I cannot phantom why he wins journalist of the year every single year. His MMA podcast is hardly 50% mma these days and of that the converge is almost completely UFC ignores the other promotions besides the top stars.

Allen has made monumental improvements over the last couple of years. He's is someone to be reckoned with, now. Curtis' rise has been much more gradual. and not quite as impressive, unfortunately. If Allen can avoid the big punches of Curtis I don't see the fight being very close. It really depends on how aggressive or cautious Allen wants to be. I imagine Curtis will have his usual game plan, so no surprises there. Allen is going to be the one who determines how this fight plays out. Most likely a finish for Allen in the second round, I'd imagine.

Specifically, Josh Thompson and big John, we’re wrong for sitting that Ariel should not be asking Dana White what he does to take care of the fighters. Both guys said it’s none of Ariel‘s business, but that’s part of being a journalist. These are the same types of questions that get asked to Adam Silver and Roger Goodell. But over the years, Ariel has leaned away from being an actual journalist, and mostly just does interviews now because of that

Favorite mma show I listen to and they pick against my boy haha. I get it tho. Charlie is a super accurate striker. Trevor comes in hard and never stops. The fight has the potential to be a war. Also has the potential to end quickly. A lot of folks don’t know how little training Trevor had. He hasn’t been training martial arts but for around 5-6 years. They also don’t know he’s been out in Colorado training with Duane Ludwig at bang Muay. I’ll admit you can tell by my name I’m a homer. Haha. Honestly Buckley or any fighter that saying something like that about Ariel is such a bitch move. Ariel is allowing him some very limited and fought-over time on HIS show, so he can sell his fight and grow his fanbase. Plus any questions he asks are asked because it's what the fans want to know, they're not some "gotcha" questions, wtf would Ariel have to gain from doing that anyway? Doing that would actually be bad for him since it would turn the fighters and the UFC against him, when in reality the fighters almost exclusively have his back and support him because they know he looks out for them in turn.

But you arent taking in the % of injuries, visa issues, fighters declining fights waiting for higher position fights, fighters declining fights not wanting to fight down in the rankings, alot of fighters in the top of alot of divisons are also teammates, and the incredibly stacked cards that have been booked for months where as fight nights tend to be put together alot later.

I mean as a fighter we get hurt so we aren’t always ready to hop in, plus you gotta factor in whether they have plans for future fight cards. They have to make PPVs PPV worthy and not all fights even on the prelims are ppv worthy. Can they do better? Yes, but there has to be some realistic expectations when brainstorming solutions to these not so good cards.

Ariel is a shit stirrer and he uses ufc fighters as his pawns. I recall Dustin calling him out on it with leading questions. Ariel does the “on the nose” segment. That’s where he should stay if he wants to provide thoughts and commentary on the UFC. Fighters fight and not all of them handle things like MVP did. Their managers should advise them on avoiding Ariel or laying ground rules down in what is ok to ask.
