Allen, Happy New Year! A possible product/scale suggestion - 2-3mm (?). I've been one of those long-time miniatures gamers (50 years), with too many periods and scales on the shelves now. I still present games at our local shop with these favorite periods, but I'm tapering down the scale of my ambitions for the future. However, there's still projects I'd like to do, which I can conceive doing with less physical footprint and cost, and which I have been working at in 'small way' for a few years now - with WW2 (Pico Armor), and doing a Fantasy board game conversion (using MicroWorld 3mm army strips). One of the project ambitions I've not completed, is realizing a Strength & Honour 2mm (or 3mm) Ancients collection to play with that new ruleset. I had eyed the laser-cut troop blocks and strips made by LaserCast, but didn't make the move on any of this product before the owner moved to a demanding professional change, and closed down this hobby business. Perhaps 2-3mm laser-cut troops and terrain pieces/buildings might offer an augment to your business? At the same time, the availability of 3D printing product has certainly changed the traditional supply network for our hobby. Even though I prefer buying minis (and in 2-3mm now for new projects), and so search for suppliers in this scale, I have also purchased 3D printed terrain pieces for these recent projects (Hexon terrain tiles for the Fantasy game board via Etsy as an example). So, though I'll not be 3D printing myself, I do consider looking for 3D-printed products now (would love to be able to print out small armies as offered by Project Wargaming), and generally wish there was more "off the shelf" availability for the 2-3mm projects I'd considered venturing into in the future. Finally, I'm not sure how typical I am to your regular/established customer, but amongst my gamer group here around St. Louis, there is small movement towards considering doing smaller scale projects (10mm and smaller) if any at all. I know as a US resident, that I'd prefer ordering domestically too, but as has been the case for so long, much of the hobby product comes from the UK. Perhaps there may be opportunities for growth for product on the lower scale/smaller footprint side of the hobby? Just some thoughts to throw out there. Dave S.
