The reverse flow smoker looks great and very functional. Looks like you can add a removable gas burner making it a gas barbecue, or even a griddle by removing the racks and slidding a steel plate in.

Anyone who has been around metal fab knows an artist when he sees one. I learned some tricks just watching! I am in the middle of making a pellet smoker for our church. Never made one before but I thought all you gotta do is...guess I don't know all you gotta do cuz I can't get her up to temp and when I try more fuel I get soot and creosote

Allan I've been looking at all the top bbq builders and you make it look easy compared to the rest of the industry and so I'm going to build mine using Allan's welding design and gator pits, and others designs but using your skill set well your type of work from scratch,I do weld and have certs and plan to round my edges like gator pits it just looks so much nicer on the finish end. I've hit the scrap yards found lots of metal and have about 4 or 5 hundred into it but it'll be a nice smoker main chamber will be 60x24 with a hot box that's 2x2x2 with a gridle and grill inside and a nice fire basket and tray. On the opposite side I'll have a 2x2x4 foot smoker with it's own hot box, so a reverse flow and a self contained hot box. Tuning plates will be a must and a semi stack for my chimney. Thanks for your videos and hard work putting it all together I literally watch your video's daily over and over and get my confidence in watching you. Hopefully I'll finish soon and maybe you can comment on my build, adios amigo stay strong and be safe I saw your explosion on utube not good but a learning lesson for your viewers and a reminder for you.

What kind of temps are expected on the vertical section? Noticed on a vid. That the far side of horizontal is 375 and near side is 350 but the vertical wasn’t mentioned. I seen something similar where they smoke briskets chic. etc on horizontal and just ribs on vertical.
