I am the current drummer for The Alley Cats, Randy started the band again in 2013 I joined in 2014. We play fairly regularly in Southern California, in fact we are playing a show today at the Redwood bar in LA. Randy is a wonderful human being and an amazing guitarist/song writer and I am lucky to play with him and the current bassist Apryl Cady.

The Alley Cats are amazing with the current line up (as well as all past line ups). Apryl and Matt are a great rhythm section.

So you are Slim Jim 😂😂, nah just a joke couse its another band that got the same name , i was searching for that New line up you talking about just to watch it and that band poped out when i wrote Alley Cats 2006 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ7NfJhvrK5riLcsi=mI6cynWA8YSElCLg , the fun fact is that there is a coment in the coment section from Randy Stodola himself calling out the guys saying that they have stolen his bands name , and he is kind of rigth couse they started in 1977 but i give the benefit of the doubt to then couse they migth didnt know your band , they play very different kind of music , but yeah now that they know they should change the name. Greetings from Basque Country.

I was digging through a pile of junk in grandma's spare bedroom and found this record, along with an 8 track stereo, record player and Atari 2600. Going to be a fun time.

Heard it once in the early 80s in a obscure night time radio show in Rio de Janeiro : I've never forgot the refrain : but never heard it again : not even knew who sang it ! until today : Thank you so much !

Wow, I got to play Alley Cats songs with Randy last night in Long Beach. What a blast! Anyone else notice the hand written 8x11 flyer for the Go Go's on the wall behind them "opening" for The Alley Cats? Randy is the sweetest guy, had me cracking up all night, still sounds AMAZING on guitar and vocals despite having his head cracked in by robbers. He still has that Telecaster. Amazing man.

LYRICS - Bound together by doomsday chains Little monkey creatures run through this twisted plain Chasing a messiah that never came Drenched in the sorrow of this evil pain They question not this endless search What has value and how much is it worth They can not be saved from this eternal curse Escape with me from the planet earth Escape with me the pain of growing old In this dark , dark night that's always so cold Escape with me from everything that hurts Escape with me from the planet earth Give me give me one last kiss That's all that i'll miss When i leave this world When i leave this world Tomorrow , tomorrow when we're gone Everyone will carry on They'll forget this song Tomorrow when we're gone The time is late , but then it always was I charge my brain with an electric buzz Suddenly there's a violent lurch Together we'll escape from the planet earth

This is my favorite Los Angeles punk rock band. They captured the sleazy streets on wax better than anyone else; although X runs a close second in my book.

This is the best thing I have heard for centuries. The only thing that betters this is the sound of a volcsnic erruption.

They really were SO good, and Dianne is SO HOT! Cool that I was just viewing/linking some classic 70's footage and this is filmed by the legendary Dennis Dragon!

I think you've got that the wrong way round. This band was a central piece of the scene at Brendan Mullen's Masque nearly 10 years before most people in America had even heard of Bauhaus.
