You said a few times that the Wakefield Bowladrome is a "tough house". It would be helpful in the future to explain which features cause that designation, since I'm sure it differs from house to house.

I've always been interested in the terminology of candlepin, in particular how "bid" has grown to be the universal replacement for "try" or "attempt". It was used now and then even back in the Don Gillis Channel 5 show days, but now it's almost exclusively used. You never hear "Great try!" or "Excellent attempt!" or something similar, it's always "What a bid!" Auction style bowling? lol Seriously though, can anyone explain its rise in usage?
