Really digging these baritone series. A beginner at both the standard and baritone so a great challenge to practice the same chord shapes with the added twist of having to identify the different sound/name. For everyone struggling with the G chord on the standard uke, it's super easy on the baritone! LOL. I don't know what it is - that G-C-E-A tuned ukulele has its unique, fun sound but there's something special about the baritone like it has extra secret ingredients of brown sugar and cinnamon! So warm and comfy to strum. And I love my Kala's!

I’m from California. You are a great teacher, I had a mental block about keeping my strum even and you helped me get over it. Thx!

Great! I just granted myself with this Makala MK-B. As a beginner to baritone, I searched for a good instrument I could afford and am pleased with it. More over, I enjoy learning with you. I trust I will be able to play with other people soon. Thank you so very much!🤩

Great series, Kevin. Thanks much for taking the time to make it this good. I like it when you hum along on the chords. As someone new to playing music via the ukulele, it helps me develop my ear for the relationship between chord and voice. Also like you plucking each string then paying the chord. I do the same right afterwards and can hear the my baritone is making the same great sounds. Because I"m so new to strumming and chord changes, I often go back to Series 1 Day 1 and work my way through to where I've just gotten. Of course, I"m not yet able to keep up with the fast beats yet, but I can feel that coming along and am not rushing it. Cheers, Ray Rasmussen, Canada

I was so happy that I was actually able to play along this time! I have actually grabbed my uke every few hours yesterday to get a rhythm for that strumming pattern because it was so hard to understand it without hearing how you play it first. I had to smile when it worked out the first time and it still makes me so happy to see tiny baby steps like that everyday. I have noted down this new chord progression and I'll be back with day 3 when I can play this one :D Thank you so much for these tutorials, you're a really good teacher and I love how you hype up the fact that the baritone uke is such a wonderful instrument. Makes me smile when I try to play along :D

Why do we need to put all fingers of a chord down together, rather than building by finger? I keep seeing this instruction but nobody explains why. Thanks for the really helpful baritone videos. I have a quick question.

Hello! The reason you want to fret the chord with your fingers landing simultaneously is because building one finger at a time will slow down your chord transitions and make strumming the chords "in time" more difficult. I would aim to form your chord shapes with your fingers prior to landing on the strings. Try this slowly as you practice. Thanks for learning with me! - Kevin | allforuke.com

Like the chord progressions. Lose my rhythm when doing the X stop.
