The one thing David has taught me as a solider is that you have to win the battle within yourself before you can win on any battlefield . that battlefield can be life, financial issues or work issues. You have to dig within yourself - find your weakness’s ; expose them and be real with yourself to fix them . Once you’ve accomplished those things - you are unstoppable .

As it sounds when he talks, he seems to like to boast. apologies to anyone if feeling offended. im just not a person that approves of self bragging, or condoning someone to brag on their behalf. this just seems a bit much. sure, its great and impressive what he did. and def could/should serve as inspirational for others, but I think a line was crossed going overboard. no trolling, just policing a bit I guess. ya, but who makes me the authority on that/this? I guess me a bit since I"ve done much the same and other stuff all over the place with many good deeds along the way. but i dont go bragging about it all. I just do it and treat it as its simply all the right thing to do... ya a bit much here, a bit of rant. but fukit I was on a roll.

I agree so much with development of self discipline and self responsibility. That is what a lot of us are missing in life. We can’t have the best world if we don’t believe in ourselves enough to be discipline and invest in ourselves❤️

People understand operators do what they do because, we love the suck , it feeds our souls and makes us better men for it, SEAL Googins understood this and its how he was able to do the things he did during his career, For me 21 years Airborne Infantry , 3 years 1st Bn 75th Infantry ( RANGER) and 4 combat tours in the sandbox, Nothing special , just a warrior doing his job, happens every day RLTW !!!!!

wayne mitchell what are you thinking when you get tired? When the run gets bad and you just want the pain to stop?
@way75mit96 жыл бұрын
J A The true test of a warrior is when things look like all is lost and theres no end in site, You think about the reason you started the journey in the first place, In the " Ranger Creed" we say " NEVER" quit and thats exactly what it means the pain will stop, and the tired will go away, but the shame of failure & quitting will last for ever RLTW !!!!!!!
@jordanescobar46276 жыл бұрын
wayne mitchell I appreciate the advice. I’m joining the 75th soon. RLTW

Awesome J A I was in Alpha Company 2nd Platoon, Hope you like the summer heat in south georgia, And night jumps on Taylor Creek dropzone, All jokes aside , The 1st Batt was the most rewarding tour of my 21 years in the Army, if you make the Regiment you will go places and do things , regular troops only dream about, when asked what it was like by others soldiers, Id always say, We did the stuff that ya'll sing about during PT runs LOL , Good Luck soldier & remember , Mind over Matter, You don't mind & it don't matter , Rangers Lead The Way !!!!!! ( Airborne Infantry ) All the Way !!!!!!!

I can’t begin to tell you guys how happy I was to stumble on this comment thread. This is THE first time I’ve read an entire KZbin thread and it was all positive! I wish you all the best! My life has been a lot different than y’alls but I am a 41 year old that WISHES I joined the military. Unfortunately nobody in my life told me about it. Funny thing is my Step Dad was a Vietnam Vet. Anyways, somehow I ran into Goggins on KZbin a year or so ago. Since then I have gotten off my ass, gotten back into shape and even my kids admire Goggins. Sorry for the long post but it’s UNHEARD of these days to see people posting even remotely positive comments on KZbin and I am one of the few that appreciates it. The internet is only good and useful if the user has good and useful intentions. In my opinion of course. Good luck.

Just sign up for a full marathon and do it. The mental toughness you will receive for finishing it is priceless. I ran a marathon last year without training once. It was the most horrible thing I've ever done to myself but ever since then, everything else feels like a walk in the fucking park.. Now for the ultra...

I am 29 years old. I have been lazy and obese since the day I was born, watching my life slip by in a constant state of self hate and depression. I have always wanted to be a soldier. Last week I finally got the courage to get of my ass and face myself in the mirror. I am going to join the French Foreign Legion next year. I have woken up at 3am every morning to go running, even though I didn't have a clue where to start. I have changed my diet drastically. I am now 15 pounds lighter than last week, and I feel better, more focused and more motivated then I ever have. Watching people like this man. Is what gave me the strength to take the first step. Failure is no longer an option. Thank you David for the inspiration.
