The one thing David has taught me as a solider is that you have to win the battle within yourself before you can win on any battlefield . that battlefield can be life, financial issues or work issues. You have to dig within yourself - find your weakness’s ; expose them and be real with yourself to fix them . Once you’ve accomplished those things - you are unstoppable .

Not knowing I’ve been on the waiting list at the library for weeks to get his book already. And also been listening to him on KZbin for three months. When I opened the book up I was so excited I scared her. Nothing makes a mom more happy then knowing she did something great for her kid. Or that she knows her kid so well. And that he appreciates what he is given. Thanks mom for being my warrior. And thanks David Goggins for being everyone’s warrior. U r a animal sir!!!!!

Goggins is the man, nothing but respect for him! Big fan of BUD/s class 234 documentary, glad that petty officer Bischoff made it through (he got rolled back in second phase with 234 for not passing pool comp). On another note, does anyone know why he went through three hell weeks? I have a family friend that is a SEAL and was a BUD/S instructor as well. and he said that if you make it through hell week with an injury you'll recycle to the next class once they hit second phase.

maybe sometimes like army sfas SF selection. sometimes guys go thru the entire selection without quitting, but they simply are considered a 'non select' for various reasons as not putting out enough effort, low social stature, etc. just bc you "never quit" doesnt mean you'll always make it and get accepted.

@Jaideep G-tws21 happens frequently. seriously tho, he's not special. just the only one showing himself off. whether someone else claims to have "discovered" him, he likely had a hand in "being noticed" I'd venture to guess. As it sounds when he talks, he seems to like to boast. apologies to anyone if feeling offended. im just not a person that approves of self bragging, or condoning someone to brag on their behalf. this just seems a bit much. sure, its great and impressive what he did. and def could/should serve as inspirational for others, but I think a line was crossed going overboard. no trolling, just policing a bit I guess. ya, but who makes me the authority on that/this? I guess me a bit since I"ve done much the same and other stuff all over the place with many good deeds along the way. but i dont go bragging about it all. I just do it and treat it as its simply all the right thing to do... ya a bit much here, a bit of rant. but fukit I was on a roll.

People understand operators do what they do because, we love the suck , it feeds our souls and makes us better men for it, SEAL Googins understood this and its how he was able to do the things he did during his career, For me 21 years Airborne Infantry , 3 years 1st Bn 75th Infantry ( RANGER) and 4 combat tours in the sandbox, Nothing special , just a warrior doing his job, happens every day RLTW !!!!!

J A The true test of a warrior is when things look like all is lost and theres no end in site, You think about the reason you started the journey in the first place, In the " Ranger Creed" we say " NEVER" quit and thats exactly what it means the pain will stop, and the tired will go away, but the shame of failure & quitting will last for ever RLTW !!!!!!!

I can’t begin to tell you guys how happy I was to stumble on this comment thread. This is THE first time I’ve read an entire KZbin thread and it was all positive! I wish you all the best! My life has been a lot different than y’alls but I am a 41 year old that WISHES I joined the military. Unfortunately nobody in my life told me about it. Funny thing is my Step Dad was a Vietnam Vet. Anyways, somehow I ran into Goggins on KZbin a year or so ago. Since then I have gotten off my ass, gotten back into shape and even my kids admire Goggins. Sorry for the long post but it’s UNHEARD of these days to see people posting even remotely positive comments on KZbin and I am one of the few that appreciates it. The internet is only good and useful if the user has good and useful intentions. In my opinion of course. Good luck.

I am 29 years old. I have been lazy and obese since the day I was born, watching my life slip by in a constant state of self hate and depression. I have always wanted to be a soldier. Last week I finally got the courage to get of my ass and face myself in the mirror. I am going to join the French Foreign Legion next year. I have woken up at 3am every morning to go running, even though I didn't have a clue where to start. I have changed my diet drastically. I am now 15 pounds lighter than last week, and I feel better, more focused and more motivated then I ever have. Watching people like this man. Is what gave me the strength to take the first step. Failure is no longer an option. Thank you David for the inspiration.
