Hey guys, we are in Palm Harbor just south of you. As far as parks in the area, none. The closest ones we go to are Chassahowitzka, Rainbow, Springs, Fort DeSoto (shhh), and Cypress Glenn. None of these are that close, but all are good. Top Sail was incredible for us! We went there last summer and just loved it. Although the tram and pool were shut down because of Covid we had a great time and can't wait to go back. Enjoy! We love watching your videos, thank you.

I'll second Brent's remarks about local places and Topsail! Have you guys tried Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park? It's in Crystal River. We haven't been there yet, but it looks pretty cool. We prefer state parks, but sometimes it's nice to go someplace with a pool and just relax. :)

Love this, I grew up in New Port Richey. . .lived there since 1975 until around 1999. . .I haven't missed it in a long time, I live in Maine now, but this video makes me want to go back and, at least visit.

Just a few miles from topsail is Grayson Beach state park, just as nice as topsail. Also St George island state park is a favorite too.

I'm in St Pete, you guys are lucky that you're a little closer to the panhandle because it looks like it has some of the best camping in Florida. I've been here since 2000 and I don't care what anyone says, it's hot in August. I took my son to Ichetucknee Springs about a month ago, great weekend. Happy Camping

Just to add to some of your info. The Chasco Festival was "made up" be the local newspaper editor to bring tourist to the area, it has no specific ties to the natives that lived here, the Tocobagas. Shirley Temple did have an Aunt that lived nearby, no specific info that she wintered her though. The Hacienda Hotel did reopen after renovations in September, 2022 and seems to be doing well. From what I understand, Al Capone probably had more ties to Moon Lake Ranch, just northeast of NPR. I've been living here since 2020 and do love it as you two do. Tarpon Springs would be my next choice......Cheers!

Greetings from Germany. After 7 years here my German wife wants to come back to the US, this time, FL. Her best friend is there in Westchase. Plan is July 2023 but it could be sooner. We have been all over Zillow looking for houses. New Port Richey is in the running. The architect who designed the Hacienda Hotel has a house there that we are looking at but it was just removed from the listings. The few things we are concerned about are the schools and the low scores. We heard that NPR is/was a retirement community and schools weren't/aren't a high priority? My wife is also concerned about the gators and living along the river. We have two dogs and 5 cats. What kind of cover band?

Alli teaches in downtown NPR! Living on the river might be little concern for pets and gators. But I’ve never heard any horror stories yet lol. I play in rock n roll cover band and also two tribute bands. One is a Motley Crue. And the other Scorpions tribute. 😁

Awesome! New Port Richey is really starting to become a nice little town. I know right near Main Street. They are building a new comfort and I believe and also there is the hacienda hotel is open now and that is a really cool place with a lot of history.

Awesome! Advice??? Don’t hit the house like I did a couple years ago!!! LOL. 😂 we have roughly 3 inches of clearance on each side when backing in. It’s a tight squeeze. Hopefully you have. Much more room!!!

I don’t think it’s any worse than any other area as far as crime. There is places like everywhere but I’ve lived here since 88 and only had one issue where few years ago someone broke into my trailer and stole all my small equipment. The downtown area is pretty cool. They’ve really been revitalizing it. 😊

I grew up in New Port Richey my whole life! I haven't seen that many KZbinrs from my city, and I've been apart of the Christmas and chasco fiesta! Very fun but having people scream at you for 2-3 hours isn't fun.

Strange that the pier at keen reives Park Newport Richey FL is made out of inferior grade wood that is not just more experience in the long run but is becoming very dangerous, I just did a quick inspection and I found large pieces of wood missing. And they used inferior grade fasteners ! This is substandard for residential duty. Why does this town get substandard materials ? With so many $ 500000. Home's near by and they can't afford to keep the children safe with all that tax money ,, what an outrage. We don't even get Cyprus mulch in the play ground like other cities we get pine chips full of sap . Well, we did get a very nice aluminum and railing . And they did a few patches on the intrance road but didn't. Do everything. And after only complaining for about three years that someone was trying to kill people with the gates, they will replaced it , and their was a speed limit sign that was way too fast for the area next to where the bike rider got killed by a vehicle , well some complaining got it removed. That mistake should have prompted a review of the area and then they would have moved the stop signs with the wrong amount of set back . I can go on and on. The lights at Sims park to cross the road are a total death trap , as so many people don't know to stop and will hit the pediatricians. Fdot is not making repairs and people keep getting hurt including my self. Don't worry , when a handycapt person has to citizen arrest a terrorist causing car and bikes to crash, the police arevright behind me to let him go ! I guess I should have arested the police too , The police and fire department use military technology and they can't even figure out the obvious ? The bike lane is also sabatodged , due to the over lap of pavement in the middle of it. Is this stuff that difacult to figure out or do they want us to die or be injured ?
