So glad I took the time to listen to this story. Such a brave woman who I'm certain will make many positive changes for so many other females. BLESSINGS

Allie, thank you so much for this video. You are obviously so intelligent, compassionate, and brave, and you will be a great legislator. I don't live in Tennessee, I am fortunate to live in NY where women's rights are respected, and I'm proud that my state was able to help you. I totally support what you are doing and wish you the best with your family and your campaign!

As a fellow East Tennessean I am beyond proud of this young woman. She’s not in my county but fairly close. I’d be voting for her if I could. I’m so thankful to her for standing up for all of us women. I’m past the need or potential need for this; but, I do have a daughter and a niece. This is so important for all of us.

Excellent listening. I imagined people like her and her husband existed. I would never wish this on anyone anywhere. I would definitely subjectively say I would want to save the mother’s life. Yes, it’s dramatic but so is life in general. Very good interview. This mother is profoundly well spoken. God bless everyone. 🕊️🇺🇸

I'm sorry this young lady had to go through this because of male politicians. I think some of what she said should be used in commercials all over the country. I mean for a man to think a woman can only have problems during the first pregnancy illustrates how horrific they are the ones making these decisions. I hope she wins her election.

This is so heartbreaking. Every politician with the power to pass laws restricting abortion should have to hear your story. These abortion restrictions are monstrous and medieval!

They don't care to listen. It's a way to take power away from women and they use religion as the excuse.

What a beautiful, intelligent, articulate young woman. A friend of mine is an OB/GYN, and she told me about a male friend of hers who happens to be an engineer. He asked her one day how women could pee if they had a tampon in!! This is an example of why men should not be dictating healthcare decisions for women. Amen

For people in states that allow abortion, we should set up an underground way to open our homes to women who are struggling financially and live in states that don’t allow abortion.

Thank you, Katie for bringing stories like this to light. I had 2 "missed miscarriages" meaning the baby passed but I was unaware until the ultrasound. (I hate ultrasounds to this day.) I can't imagine not having access to care at that point. It was absolutely devastating without people in my business. It infuriates me that women have to go through these things but having to go through this insanity when you're so broken is unimaginable.

"Exceptions" haven't helped women in Texas at all. Without the right to privacy in our medical decisions and bodily autonomy, this, and worse, will keep happening.

Thank you both very much for this very real and enlightening interview! I was blessed that my fiance had access to her much needed healthcare, due to a miscarriage in the mid 80's.. the loss we felt was very real, and a very natural response to such a natural occurrence in a woman's life sometimes. I've seen others go through similar, including my own mother having 2 miscarriages.. thank goodness we lived in a state that allowed that access to women's health care 👍 keep going Allie!! Thanks again!

OMG, my heart breaks for you & your whole family. I'm 61 & from California. My right to choose (my own health or any aspect of the equation) has never been an issue throughout my childbearing years. But I have 2-20-somethings (1 of each) & their rights are severely impacted as are those of every person in the U.S. I am passionate about several political isssues, but this is the hill my vote will die on supporting. You voice is SO important. Your action is SO important. Thank you. I will donate to your campaign.

Wow! Respect this woman so much. As a New Zealander I'm shocked by the frightening lack of basic healthcare and resources for women in some states in America from childcare to healthcare. Really hope Allie is surrounded by support and gets into the statehouse. I'm praying for all the women who have to go through unnecessary and expensive steps to get basic healthcare particularly those women and children who have been raped.

God, heartbreaking. Also underscores the callous disregard of people deliberately sowing doubt in the minds of women who have to make these decisions. They probably think they’re “giving hope” & justify it all sorts of ways. OC there’s miraculous stories where a baby makes it, but this DX is basically the worst you can get. No one should be guilted for this - she had to protect her living child & husband. I sincerely hope people learn to think twice about the real people. They are affecting when they leave these comments online. Your own personal miracle story is probably not going to be the case for 99% of women. So don’t use it to make others doubt their decisions.

If there's rape involved then I understand why you would do it but make sure you have proof of that also because women now and days like making things up about being raped but if you decide to get drunk and have sex in a bar then you need to face your responsibility to be a mom

An abortion also affects life and possibly fertility.
@annedouglas976910 ай бұрын
That doesn’t negate the fact that abortions can be necessary. There are risks to life either way!
@chanelled76710 ай бұрын
@@annedouglas9769 Correct, there are risks to life either way. Once a life is created there's a risk of life being lost and eventually it's inevitable. Change and death are the only guarantees in life. What matters is if a life is lost or taken.

Terminating a non viable pregnancy protects the mother’s life, health and fertility. Carrying a dead fetus risks sepsis and other complications that threaten the mother’s life and fertility. Abortion is safer for the pregnant woman than carrying a pregnancy to term and giving birth.
