Allied Waste Autocar Autoreach

(notice all the garbage juice flying all over when lowering the cart on the second cycle) here we have a fairly common sighting in AW areas of today. Autoreaches are slowly replacing Pythons, Automaters, Rapid Rails, F7000s, Curottos and any other AW truck around. This is my first good sighting of an Autoreach since freakin CR&R (who I hate for taking WM from me) took over Orange. So this was a special thing for me because I slowly am starting to realized just how much I love autoreaches. Once again Im in a never ending battle with a dirty lense. My cam shows even the smallest specs of dust. So I am sorry about that.

@Trashman242 Thanks. Autoreaches are big to me since WM got booted out of the city of Orange. Yea they can be extreemely fast when the right driver is in them. The bags are purchased witht he intentions of excess yardwaste so yes the driver collected them (wasnt around to see it though) This was filmed in Hawthorne in the tuesday route I believe.

AWESOME footage! That's a shame the autoreaches are replacing other cool trucks. Love all the Otto's! Especially the 65g Evolution!

@KFCOrBust Haha yea i hear ya. He had an unusual route. Were just scratchin our heads trying to think of where he was going next haha Lookin foreward to that. Will definatly be nice to see the Mcneilus. Im actually starting to like those AFE a lot more than I used to.

@KFCOrBust haha yea we had the older WM Autoreaches around me (this style autoreach) and the drivers were crazy fast with them. The second the can hit the ground you just let go of it and since the arm bounces it kicks the can back to the curb on its own every time. They were so fast at operating them it was pretty crazy. Just wish they were still here.

@KennysTrucks Just across the main road that section of the route (which was already done) was almost pure 64 gal otto evolutions! Sure woulda been neat to see!

Nice and fast for them and great idea. I've had to call for a new tote 3 times this year because the new trucks slam the tote and the lid eventually loosens and comes off. They need to be reinforced for this reason.

@KFCOrBust oh yea I would friggin love to see one mounted on a Pete or even a CCC as those have an extreemly high PTO cut off so you can make them MOVE. I love CCC but there not built as much for comfort as they are for brute working abilities. They are beasty though.

@3amrepmike3 Oh cool LOL no one here gets rotos ever it is mainly toter and rehrig :( At least AW here gets otto classics (trash) and Evolutions (recycle) and then greens is manual. Then WM has Gotten cascade until recentally I keep seeing WM ssi carts
