I love all the little bubbles in the "water" it makes it seem more realistic to me even though it wasn't the intended purpose to have any bubbles in it.
@Chris-rt6yq7 күн бұрын
@Boylei What they said exactly, and absolutely. With mucky bottoms (🤔), in bodies of water, there is a lot of decomposition going on and the gas this produces comes out in little steams of bubbles. Just how you so expertly recreated. It was very humble of you to play this off as a "mistake". 😉❤

Anyone who has lived near waters like these knows that bubbles like the ones in resin actually do happen when plant matter decompose
@Jay-ql4gp7 күн бұрын
The bubbles coming out of the sand work though. I like it. I lived in New Orleans for 20 years. You know how to tell if the water has gators in it? You move slowly up to the edge of the water, any body of water, and bend down to put a few fingers in it. If that water is wet...it's has gators in it!
@just5fornow7 күн бұрын
You can also tell if there's gators by seeing if one chomps your fingers off!

I've heard that before! One of my best friends is from the Chalmette area

We have a more effective and safer method here in Australia. Walk along the river bank, staying at least 3 metres away from the water's edge, and throw a stick or rock about a water into the water. Repeat this process every metre you have walked. If there is no reaction from the water after 10 mins, it probably means there's no croc in the area ... ... probably ...

2:57 small tip, might prevent bubbles: instead of a doing an instant deep poor. do a tiny poor instead. just do enough resin to cover the ground texture and nothing more. if bubbels get created, the inmediatly pop because they dont have to trave l through thiccc resin thats curing. it inmediatly finds a way out because the layer is only a hair thick

I like how you never intend bubbles but they always add to the creation. Like very rarely has any of the bubbles significantly affected the piece. Water isn’t bubble free, especially when there’s creatures lurking just below the surface. It honestly gives it just a bit of realism than a perfectly see through piece

The bubbles made it better, actually! I feel like it is a living body of water, none too calm, so the boys could not have seen the massive alligator before they got dream-eaten.

the bubbles actaully add to the effect because some swamps to bubble due to trees and stuff fermenting so its not totally unrealistic Love this

Many, many eons ago,.. my parents were looking at houses in Mississippi, Biloxi I think, my sister and I were sent outside to play. I was about 3 years old, my sister was 2. In the backyard was a large alligator. We ran back in and told our parents. They told us to go back out and play. We did not. We put on our "best behavior hats" and stayed in the house. Mom said she didn't believe us, not until it made the news that a six foot alligator was seen leaving the area.
@jadedragon14066 күн бұрын
Man the beauty shots in this are just amazing!!! The cinematography of it looks absolutely wonderful! The opening shot angles behind the dad and seeing the boys, slowing turning to reveal the hidden danger of the alligator is magnificent!! And it really calls attention to how well you did posing the figures both when you made them in Hero Forge and when you placed them in the diorama! To so elegantly turn the beauty shots into something which furthers the mood of the scene is a rare thing to see done general, let alone done this well! Hats off to you!

One thing id suggest is to airbrush the grass when you're done with a few shades of different greens or adding a bit more volume with taller clumps here and there, static grass tends to look really bad when its just flocked on its own sadly and it really takes away from what is a gorgeous diorama. The little bubbles from the sand actually work really well i think too, almost like there's actual motion in the water that shifted them out from the soil or other.

Did training at Ft. Polk, LA several years ago. During down time, me and a crew of guys went exploring. Came upon a small pond just off the road. There was a hill at one end of that allowed you to overlook the pond. From that hill, I was able to see the shadow of a massive gator just about the size of the pond just hanging out at the bottom. I don’t do dark water now.

I was watching some videos shot in Japan of people buying items from gatcha vending machines. I was surprised that there were so many different miniaturized versions of commonplace items. There were public payphones, office supplies, camping supplies, meals from restaurants and so on. All I could think about was how they would be good for making a diorama and talking about it here.
