I can appreciate this, I'm from Louisiana. Imagine being stalked by a large gator, a super predator with a kill spot only about the size of a thumb print on the back of the head, a bite that could snap human bones apart like dry twigs, and if you think you can out last one by say sitting on a large tree stump in the middle of the water, well, they can stop blood flow to the rest of their body so they only have the brain and vitals working, it could sit under watching you for an hour before it even needs to get a bit of air. Thankfully they prefer fish and small game more than crocodiles. Still, they won't turn their nose up at easy meat
