Nice old gal!! "Borrowed" one in the mid '90s... Stuck the skidder, we knew there was an old HD11 about a mile away, been sitting for probably ten years. Packed a couple cans of diesel and two batteries in, everything looked good so we fired it up!! Everything worked great!!! So we cut a decent road into the skidder, pulled it out, took the old girl back where we found her. It was in great shape back then, but I know everything three has been logged off since, so she probably got destroyed 😪 Would love to have been able to bring it home, I could use one😎

According to your extensive list of videos the north west is a vast historical mechanical museum. I for one appreciate your time and travels. Old stuff is like a stray dog, I want to bring them all home

Ah, I recognize that place! I was just there a couple weeks ago. Great collection of stuff and a great man. Loved playing with the Marion too. It's a beautiful machine.

That is one cool old dozer, looks to be in really nice shape. I have an HD9G, which is the track loader version and Detroit powered. We just used it yesterday to set my Dad's new septic tank. These were direct competition for the D6 of the same era, which would have been a 9U.

Straight drive 11, I've run one just like it years ago. That joker will wear you left arm out!

I learnt how to drive on one of these puppies, only thing wrong with it was a massive rust hole in the exhaust manifold, it was a tad noisy but sounded like music to my ears 😊 Very nice machine 🖒

That really brings memories seeing that old thing. My uncle had one just like that. I think that the paint was just about the same shape. That was 20 years ago and I think that my cousin still uses the thing!

HD11 was usually considered the D6 equivalent. For instance the D6C was 120 HP. The Hd 11 of the same era was 111HP. A lot of guys preferred the HD11 but the service and parts backup through AC just wasn't there.

NICE! Those guides keep the C-frame off the pads if everything has a lot of wear on it. Bet it's a stout rig. A 5 is if it's been worked on a bit. Thanks, Pal!

A neighbour had one back in the 70's. Funny to watch. He had to tramp the bush the same way the wind was blowing.

Is the blade frame added ? It appears to have other spots for different cylinders for lifting or angling ? Nice old dirt pusher

What year do you think this is, early 60’s?
@dieseldave715 жыл бұрын
Have to get the serial # to know for sure but it is 1955 to 1960 range. Pre '55 they were Detroit powered and called the HD9, when they went to Buda they changed it to HD11

@@dieseldave71 Thanks! Ball park age is good enough for me. I find the evolution of earthmoving equipment from the 50s to the end of the 60s incredible, sort of lunar landing stuff in a way.
