Nice old N6. I have never seen a Series 3 before, I like the extra decals. I look forward to seeing it in the field next season. Sorry to hear about losing the L to a fire. Good job at the auction. Thank for sharing the great AC Equipment.

Just a suggestion, if the rod bolts in the engine haven't been replaced, put a new set of ARP bolts in before you window the block. About 3000 hours on factory bolts and they let go. Be a little learning curve from a cylinder to rotor, but you won't want to go back.

That is so nice. I was anxious just watching Ron bid and I already knew the outcome. It’s always great when you are able to buy what you went to the auction for. Maybe some videos of them getting it ready for next harvest. You could explain the upgrades from the previous combine. I see it must make its own corn. I mean what else does corn plus mean. Nohlen has a little smile, but you know it’ll be ear to ear next harvest. You almost have to wonder if they’ll be running to see who makes it in the seat first. Jim I’m not sure a 5 gl bucket is gonna fit beside the seat. Probably should have considered that and just went with the newer one. Congratulations to Ron and Nohlen. Not much of a winter here so far. Hope all is good. Be well all of you.

Nohlen's worried Ron won't wanna share it at harvest and he'll still be stuck in the M2

We traded 6 L2's for 3 new '79 N6's after being told they could do twice as much as the L2's. In wheat when they were running which was not often, they did, but back home in rice and soybeans the L's would kick their butt's. After two harvest we traded them for three '79 N7s that weren't near as reliable because of too much horsepower. We did have one burn and replaced it with a '82 series three that was much better but still struggled in beans and rice so we gave up and went back to the L2's and L3's. We ran12 of them from '88 till '92 then had a big auction and went to JD 9600's. In 2010 I tried a new R76 with a 40ft. head that was light years ahead of the N's, It could handle any crop with ease. After that we had a used R75 that was good, then traded for a new S78, then two 88's and last a S97, all of them are great machines. I will say that '82 with a 30 ft. head was so much fun to run in wheat. Good luck with the N6, hope it works out well for you.
