Retards who say modern engineering and things are better than the old have no idea what they’re saying Those old machinery will basically run forever because there’s no gad damn electronics but basic wiring and a battery. Some may not even have that, COMPLETELY mechanical. I love old big rigs because they’re loyal compared to what we have now which is a laugh. Always in the damn shop for stupid shit and the old diesel is still chugging along

i own a pair of 8550 and i've never seen that extra canopy like that 7580 has, great idea for keeping the sun off the glass

It is an old truck bed cover. He said it works great for keeping the glare off the windows. Before adding it sunny days made it very tough to see where you were going. Where do you farm with the 8550s?

@@tractorchasers im in Manitoba Canada, picked up the tractors couple years ago, one is in reasonable condition and the other was bought for parts but will look at putting it back into service too

Those are massive bales. I've loaded big squares from a neighbor's NH baler onto flat wagons, and I can get nine bales on the first tier. This guy covered that same area with four bales 😮
@stevestoterau62612 ай бұрын
Those bales are 4 x 4 w 8 ft long so 4 would cover the deck of an 8 x 16 ft flatbed. Each of those bales has to weigh a lot.

Very nice video, I am in France and I do not know the Allis Chalmers tractors ... but when I see this big articulated, which smokes ... does not go fast ... drags .... it looks like the tractor is going to die! I pulled 4800 and 4900 with JD4240 and JD 4430, and nothing to do, it moved much faster ... especially since in hay, we need less pressure on the piston than in straw ......... This Allis Chalmers tractor is magnificent but not efficient

It doesn't normally smoke this much. We were struggling with a fuel delivery issue when this video was shot.

My dad bought an Allis Chalmers tractor back in 1955 i Denmark. However it was dismissed after a couple years mainly because of the lack of a standard 3 point hitch and secondly because diesel tractors were more robust. Instead we bought a Danish Bukh diesel tractor.
