That’s a garlic roaster. Cut your garlic bulbs in half, drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper. Put the lid on, bake for one hour. Then pop the garlic cloves out. Delicious on toasted bread, or put in mashed potatoes or pasta dishes. 🤣

I loved how you kept in the different clips of you trying a bunch of different configurations in the entryway! You don’t see thy very often but it was great to see you trying to figure out how it all works! I think it can give a false sense of “talent and skill” when a video just has everything looking amazing on what appears to be the first try and then when I don’t get something right the first time at home I feel like I’m not creative enough to do it! I totally agree. As picture perfect as Allison's esthetic is, it's great seeing her try and sometimes fail at things. Her candles didn't work out at first, nor her gingerbread house. Sometimes her recipes are delicious and sometimes they are ok. Allison doesn't pretend she doesn't make mistakes. Allison, thank you for spreading JOY as you do! Never have I watched a video 4x as I have yours! (Maybe it’s the years of teaching in me, that make me tend to consider myself ‘seasonally oriented/driven’ person!) ~Always, change of seasons has meant so much in our home/for our family! Fall is my favorite & ever since I was diagnosed with health condition 13 years ago, it was clear that then my children watched even closer with great anticipation & hope for that ‘magical appearance’ of celebratory seasonals in our home! And, even-though they are now adults, married & in (& decorating) their own homes, they still love to come ‘home’ to the magical seasonal changes. Since I had a mastectomy this past April, my family wasn’t thinking there’d be much (if any) seasonals in our home. Already, 7 years ago, I had full blown; triple negative, stage 3 breast cancer which was successfully treated with chemo & radiation, but this year, the masses were different & best treated with mastectomy & possible chemo & radiation depending on test results. ‘Twas huge blessing to learn no chemo or radiation needed! So… WHY am I sharing this with you?! Well, my endocrine therapy (breast cancer prevention) begins this coming Monday. It was by complete surprise that your 2 recent fall videos popped up on my screen this past Friday night. Do I believe this was coincidence? No! Allison, it was your powerful videos that pulled me up & out of my chair that very night! As weak as I am right now, going through my fall supplies & decorating… was energizing! That Saturday afternoon, fall graced our home & I wish you could have seen my husband & adult children’s eyes when they walked in our door Saturday night! (And if endocrine therapy makes me feel ‘off’ for a bit, fall is already here… inside & out!) This wouldn’t have happened without you! Sure, I have seen various decor videos that have popped up, but never ever one that spoke JOY into me & transformed me, my home & family… as did yours! I woke up and made homemade triple chocolate pecan cookies and Jalapeño cornbread...I made red beans and sausage in the crockpot. I am a Louisiana native and I crave that and shrimp and corn bisque in the fall. That rain is perfect Soup weather. I am totally going to look for a soup cook book.
