Totally agree with the timing of releases. For me, it definitely discourages me... I am not ready to think about dark color when I'm in full July/August weather when I'm wearing lightweight fabrics and straw hats. Thank you for mentioning that. 😉😘

Hi Allison. Yeah I think collections def need to slow down. We can't enjoy our new products before a new collections is out again! If I get anything from the fall collection I will get the blush and an eye shadow stick. I haven't tried their liquid eyeshadows.

I never kept track of when I bought what years ago…we didn’t have social clueing us in to the sneak peeks…stores were more magical then it seemed🙂 now it seems as though the releases come earlier for sure. I will very often get the release when they push it out but save it until the season feels right. Beautiful look as always💜💕💜

Looks really nice , you’re right it’s a little something extra but Chanel extra!🥰 I see that Dior , Chanel they keep coming out with new collections one on top of the other and at times it feels overwhelming…. I worked at the Clinique counter in the US in the mid 70's (!) & I don't think they even referred to new releases as "seasonal collections" back in the day. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. Clinique was kind of new then & where I lived, Estee Lauder was the BIG deal - I think the same was true w/ that brand. New eye, lip & cheek colors came every so often with cool seasonal advertisements & we had fragrance gift sets for holidays & mothers day, but things weren't SO ahead of time - maybe in November we'd get holiday shipments. I'm an old lady now & swore I'd never say things were better "when I grew up" but they were definitely more relaxed. You can't look back (for too long), life moves on. It IS true that buying cosmetics has become a competitive sport! Another reason I love that you sometimes focus on permanent products! We can choose to scoop up the seasonal goodies or NOT buy into it. We can all calm down with you & pace ourselves! Great video, gorgeous!

Great Alison, I agree releases are far too soon. I’ve seen spring colours advertised around Christmas! However, I will get the fall collection in the UK as soon as possible, as the summer make up did not go to counters and I don’t want to miss this collection at all! I have been a Chanel lover for decades and, yes, they have always released collections early. If you wore the remaining peach colour, where would you put it please? Thank you x

Hi Christine! If I were to wear the remaining peach shade I would have placed it on the lid instead of the lightest shade. I would have then placed the lightest shade on the inner corner and brow bone for highlight.

Gorgeous! Releases do seem to be happening sooner, and if you wait, you may be disappointed to find it’s sold out. Ughh!! With the CHANEL lipsticks that have the paper label on the bottom, when used up, I peel back the sticker and push the remaining product up with a Q tip to get more uses. They are pricey, so it’s worth a try to get your monies worth.

Love the very first color that you apply on your lid. On my screen it looks like a very subtly kaki. or olive green. Am I right or is just my screen. It looks gorgeous!!! XO

Hi Allison, I ordered the red liquid eyeshadow from the fall collection. I’m glad it’s available so early this time around. It usually takes couple of months for new releases to arrive at Nordstrom Macy’s, so it’s probably not too early of release per Chanel standards. I think there will be more releases in between (before holiday) and that’s why they are releasing so early - or they are going to kill it with holiday releases with No.5 products 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don’t know. Me with my 51 year old gray hair face and you with your 20 something fresh look. It would be so much fun! LOL. I did not use their liner or mascara and I used a different Chanel lipstick. I don’t think it’s just beauty releases that are being pushed early. Some stores have been putting out their Halloween stuff already. I understand that retailers are under pressure to make up for lackluster sales from last year due to the pandemic, but I think they need to just trust consumers and put things out in the normal timeframe.
