@@jacquelinedonofrio7399 My sister and I have had carpets in bathrooms - it is not as bad as everyone thinks. The carpet never got wet or moldy (we put bathmats near the sink and tub)and was so warm and cozy underfoot. One complaint, since a bathroom gets so much use, it had to be vacuumed everyday - well it didn't have to but it looked awful if you didn't.

Do not apologize for anything. These projects are difficult and hard work. Knowing the bathroom will be torn out sooner or later, it is difficult to care how well this temporary project turns out. You did a great job! I applaud you for your efforts!

Guuurrrlll!!!!! This is a fantastic transformation, even for a bathroom that you plan on redoing again later. But honestly, this is a great video because there’s so many people that can’t afford to do a full bathroom model makeover, but these are really great tips for trying to make it look as best as you can. Allison, why are you saying it’s not the greatest makeover? Compared to what you started with, it looks like a new bathroom! Love the paint color! Sage green colors are always my favorite and first choice for paint colors. I’ve used the same type of epoxy kits to paint the bath tub in two different houses, and have been really happy with the results. Your new house is turning into your new home right in front of our eyes!💜💜💜

@@alice4217 I was very happy with how the finish held up. I was going to replace the tubs (2 different houses, couple of years apart.) and when I did replace them, the finish was still holding up. I never tried it on tiles, but I’ve seen it done, and the results were pretty good.

I have the exact same 50-year-old yellow tub, tile, and sink with the addition of ugly orange flowered, 70s wallpaper!!!! Determined that this is the year I will do something about it! Thanks for the inspiration, as I cannot afford for a professional to do it.

I loved the yellow color too! Everyone has their own taste though. It seems like she could have saved herself so much trouble if she'd just scrubbed the whole room down with bleach, and it would have been sufficiently clean. But it's good to see how she did it.

This is hands down the most realist makeover I've seen on KZbin. My bathroom sink & floor are blue, and I've been looking for ways to change them besides the stick n peel tile. Same here. We're going to demo our bathroom in a year or two years, but still... have been living in it for 2 years with the most hideous tiles ever. In the process of painting over them and it is soooo worth it. The zen feeling it creates is totally worth it. Good job!

DIY tip, take soapy dawn dish liquid and dip your finger in it before smoothing out the caulk, it makes a seamless look and it’s much easier to get it off your skin as well. ❤

Man, it seemed like there were 20 walls in this bathroom! Lol The bathroom looks great! I've attempted to caulk on, at least, 3 or 4 occasions and I never got the hang of it. I had tons of advice but it never came out well. So kudos to Chris on his caulking skills. Looks a lot better than anything I ever did!

Those metal anchors from the towel bars, you just take a screwdriver and knock them through to the other side, then spackle the wall. Great makeover!! I remember those young married days!

For future references I suggest using Zep mildew mold and stain remover. This stuff you guys is AMAZING! It's strong, yet mighty. I spray this stuff on and and it melts any dirt, grime, grease. I let it sit for about 5 minutes and rise and follow up with warm soapy water. This stuff removed all the dirt from my walkway in front of my house. I couldn't believe it. It's sold everywhere. Recently I found it ij the 3 dollar aile at dollar tree. 😊

ZEP products are great. I used it to remove years and years of floor wax build-up on dental chair bases. I believe it was the heavy-duty floor cleaner variety. Sprayed it on, let sit, and scrubbed with a brush. Worked like a charm.
