To be a "Country music classic" it has to be a mainstream hit and I don't know if you know this or not but today's mainstream country is garbage. Nashville is looking for country snap tracks and not good stories like this. It's not just Allison but there's a lot of "Americana Country" artists that make great music like this but are not as big.

I fell in love with this song when I first heard it on an alternative progressive college radio station near me. It got a lot of air time and I loved it. Now I'm so addicted to the song! Every time i hear it, it sounds better and better. Misunderstood relationship outside society's norms? That's ok. It paints a beautiful picture in our hearts.
