Also, I love your youtube channel because it is giving a look at something OTHER than just 40k that everybody else seems to be doing. And as another gamer who is older than dirt I appreciate the subdued "hobbyist" aspect of your channel. Its not all tournaments, hype and meta discussions.

Thanks! While I do love 40k and FOW there are so many other games out there that we want to play.

I really want to see how this plays. I have dozens of plastic ships left over from an old defunct ship game and they would be perfect for this.

Hey, thanks for your Black Seas videos--you do a good job of showing what's in the box (this video) and how to play (your how-to-play video, obviously). This helps me decide if this might be something to pick up to play with my retired father, who's not a gamer, but is an Age of Sail buff. One minor point that's come up in both your videos, though... You mention that the game covers the "American Civil War," the box describes the game as covering 1770-1830. That does cover the War of 1812, as you say, but it's the Revolutionary War in the 1770s that falls within the scope of the game rather than the Civil War in the 1860s. I'd imagine that a naval game covering the Civil War would need to include steam-powered iron clads, like the Monitor and the Merrimack.

Thanks! and Sorry about that! I have a side project painting ACW Ironclads and I get it mixed up sometimes! The problem with too many game systems at once!

Just finished painting this set. Couldend do the rigging do. But they Still look nice. And its a cool game to play!

I did the rigging on a couple so far and it's both frustrating and weirdly calming at the same time. Once you figure out a pattern it's not bad, but figuring that pattern out... that's hair pulling frustration.

American Civil War ??? That war was in the 1860’s.
