Love this and have made it 2x now. It baffles my mind at how easy it is to lose stitches?! 🤷🏼♀️ I still can't figure it out. Lol

THANK YOU!! I love your video for making girl's purses. I have been struggling to learn this, although I have crocheted for many years, but never tried to make purses/bags for my granddaughters and found that your video is my favorite because you explain every step so carefully and make it easy to understand. I love your flower and tassel instructions also. Many thanks and I'm sending you hugs from Kentucky from a grateful grandmother! :)

Really cute and looks easy to make! Question: I'm assuming if I didn't want to use 2 stands of yarn, I could use 1 strand but the stitch count would be higher to get a similar size bag? I've been trying different purses for little girls and many are more involved than I want. I'm wanting a quick and easy pattern that works up quickly because I plan on making a bunch for shoe boxes for Operation Christmas child.
@allmycrochet84424 жыл бұрын
Yes you would have to increase the starting chain of you are using one strand.

I love this tutorial! Thank you! I made a couple for a friend’s great-granddaughters. She was admiring some market bags I have made and I thought it would be cute to make her a bigger version of this bag w added straps to go over her walker. How would you suggest adding the extra 3 HDC at the end of row 2? I know I need more chains at the beginning, but how many HDC should I add at the corners of the base of the bag? TIA ❤️
@allmycrochet84423 жыл бұрын
You can add 3 to 5 stiches on the corner.

I have lost partial use of my left hand. Mostly control of my fingers. I was wondering if you can use a larger yarn instead of the two strands? And if you do use a larger yarn would you loose the dainty look of it. My Great granddaughter would love this.

I used double strands, so it is pretty sturdy.

If not alternating colors would I just slip stitch over to the point where the handle begins? Or does it begin where the last stitch before the handle row ends? Does that make sense? I haven't got to the top yet but am about halfway through and planning ahead. Maybe it'll make more sense once i get there. Edit: did you flip your work when you got to the end of 10 rows and start crocheting the other direction to begin the handle? Also, is the strap long enough to be a shoulder strap or is it a handheld only? Can i make it longer or would that make it wonky? Edit 2: so I'm at the top, 10 row done. My work seems backwards to yours. Do I need to flip it inside out? My slant where we slip stitch is stitched is on the opposite end. What did I do wrong? I can't figure out how to do the handle now, unless I turn it inside out it's backwards to yours. Please help!!
