Doflamingo is less afraid of the admirals, but he's still scared. That's why he did that whole plan about faking his demission. He went one on one vs Kuzan et was left out of breath after a single attack, I'm pretty sure the reason he fears the emperors more than he fears the government and the admirals is because he lives in the new world and the new world is like 90% the emperor's territory, not the navy's (even if Sakazuki is trying to change that).

Sabo knew who Luffy and Ace were but what i think Sabo needed was to hear in order for his memories to return was to hear both of their names together and associated with each other, and unfortunately the only time Luffy and Ace's names where in the news together was when Ace died and it was revealed to the world that they were Brothers, that's why Sabo's memories never came back before that point, he would hear about the Pirate Ace and hear about the pirate Luffy and didn't but the two together so it never clicked

In the manga, that specific moments shows that Luffy has far from mastered G4 but that if he does, he'll be waaaaaay stronger than someone like Doflamingo. It's a clear path to progression that explains how he's going to slowly prepare to eventually confront the strongest crews in the world, the Yonkou's. The anime completely destroys that path of progression, it affects our understanding of the story, not just that one single fight, that's why it sucked. As far as Kaidou is concerned, I mean it doesn't really matter if he can't die, when has Luffy ever killed his opponent anyway xD (I say that now and watch Kaidou be the first person Luffy ever kills later on just to prove me wrong xD)

Not really, if you looked at the war objectively you would see that the execution of Ace was necessary for the WG. The only person who had trouble with Ace dying in the WG was obviously Garp because of family bias. The part that Akainu has a problem with is that his outlook on Justice is Srict/pure. If someone breaks the law they are a criminal end of story, but the higher ups are the ones who decide who actually gets taken in or killed. Ace was just one of the pawns that needed to get taken out and Akainu just followed orders that he probably didn't even wanna do honestly. He praised Roger as a proper pirate, his work ethic just trumps his righteousness.

I feel like a lot of manga readers forget that the manga’s action is quicker and shorter because Oda is trying to keep the story shorter. Oda has many other ideas, I remember in an interview he said that his editors make him cut and condense a lot of content because it would make One Piece last longer than Guin Saga or that one gag cop manga that’s been going on since the 70s
