Everything looks healthy on your plot, despite the rodent tunnels and the bad, rainy weather, we've had. Great stuff! Take care.

Hi Andy, I've grown onions from seed the past 2 seasons due to the sets bolting. They are so much better & bigger onions too! You plot is looking very productive & healthy too. Great video update, thanks for sharing and take care 😊

We had some crazy cold rainy days but now back to high 20’s 🥵. Harvests of any kind are great so you’ve done well. Good about the liverwort I have that too and a bird nest fungus 🤦♀️ cute but a right pain. Have a fab weekend gig Andy, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

Thanks for the tip regarding the liverwort... my garden is full of it.... I love how the spore heads shoot up like little umbrellas, but it does choke the ground... Off to Sainsbugs for a large tub of bicarb!!

@@grumpy_poo How did you find the bicarb as it usually turns liverwort black/ brown pretty fast. So i hope you found it helpful Cheers Andy

@@andy160676 The torrential rain washed it off.. will give it another go though.

Bloody temperature's forecast to fall again over the next couple of weeks, which is a bonus regarding blight but a right pain for everything else. Stuff's still slow up here in Cumbria, especially compared to last year. Getting my first few Sungold tomatoes which is a bonus ( grew cuttings & overwintered them, as the seeds are expensive!).

I would like to try that with tomato cuttings, can you remember what date you took them, and did you keep them in the house? Heated greenhouse in the spring? Thank you
@GARDENER424 ай бұрын
@@bevbond6152 Took them in mid October & kept in unheated greenhouse until frosts arrived, then on windowsill in unheated room. They became pretty spindly but I let side shoots grow, then took those as new cuttings in March & kept them in unheated greenhouse except when frost was forecast.

Bicarb works on liverwort!? does it work on pearlwort? I have that in my onion bed and it's a nightmare, eventually I just let it go when the onions are too big because it's so fiddly to get in and pull out.
@andy1606763 ай бұрын
@@lemagreengreen i think if its a member of a type of moss it should work and is worth a try, even if you try a small area first and give a light dusting on a calm dry day and keep me posted if it worked. Cheers All the best Andy
