SEC politicking in full force: If an SEC team loses, it is not considered a negative. It's just all great teams playing games. If anyone else loses, it simply shows how poor they are. Close win for an SEC team? Gutty play. Close win for any other team? Pure weakness. The Double talk is insane.
@stevelizzio17852 ай бұрын
Would love to see in the playoffs a couple of these SEC teams have to play on the road in the big ten, since for decades the big ten was the visitor in about all the bowl games … this would be so interesting.

You mean like a terrible Texas team playing Michigan this year or last years Ohio State vs a terrible Missouri team? How about Alabama playing Wisconsin?
@stevelizzio17852 ай бұрын
@@n5ifiSo you mean the Michigan team this yr that has no QB and is about to go 500 … (win lost all its air for the weak scheduled Texas) So nice win Texas! Oh, you mean Bama playing @ Wisconsin and their QB gets hurt on the first drive and the backup wasn’t ready so it eventually wore out the defense? Oh, nice win, Bama 😂😂😂 SEC has 5-6 good teams who beat each other. Now that everyone pays their players the SEC is not so dominant.
@n5ifi2 ай бұрын
@@stevelizzio1785 The best team you can put on the field was last years Michigan who barely beat Alabama. That's an Alabama team Texas Beat. Now Texas is down offensively this year and I said that. Alabama though beat Wisconsin in 2023 and 2024 so excuses are out. I agree though, there are 5 or 6 good teams in the SEC but only 1 is a push over and you still have to beat that team. They don't lay down. I think the big 10 will get better but this year the SEC is killing themselves in conf.

That bowling green game is a better win than any non con game Indiana played. And on top of that the West Virginia game and our schedule is Miles harder than Indiana’s.

Does anyone here actually believe the Big Ten has 4 of the top 5 teams in the country? i dont

After seeing IU and Penn State today the Big 10 looks bad (which most of us knew).
@jkay8it2 ай бұрын
also the SEC fans and national pundits who are talking about who would be favored and hypothetical games determining who’s better is ridiculous. The whole point of the 12 team playoff is so these teams can play each other and we can find out who’s actually better.

Its cool that we'll find out on the field, instead of having to listening to old codgers like Paul Finebaum tell us how terrible the Big Ten is.

Agreed 👍!!! Paul is a miserable jerk!!! WE ARE, he isn't!!! Lol

Listen, the reason why this always happens is because ESPN has a strangle hold on who should or shouldn't get it. Until the bullshit championship show goes to a different network it always going to be like this. ESPN talking heads or former talking heads are never objective about the big ten.

Anyone know what james Franklin's record is against top 25 teams since coming to penn st?

Let’s be honest. If Penn State loses to Minnesota this weekend they really don’t deserve to stay in the hunt.

The whole scheduling 5 to 10 years ahead has to stop in non conference College Football. This way you can schedule a good team only a year a head of time!

The worst-case scenario is that IU beats OSU. In that case, the committee will have to evaluate a 2-loss OSU, PSU, four SEC teams, and ND, disregarding the runner-ups in the ACC and Big 12. That leaves seven teams competing for six spots. My guess is that PSU gets left out in favor of Tennessee. No way they leave out OSU who beat PSU on their home field or Tennessee who will likely have a win over the number 2 team Alabama (if they win the SEC).
@MKru-n3u2 ай бұрын
That is actually a best case scenario as it will force the CFP committees hand. the question all should be asking is WHY is Penn State ranked so high? Their "good loss" is not so good when you consider it was a home game loss. Also that their offense did not score a single touchdown in that loss. Also that they have not played virtually ANYONE in the top 20 other than OS whom they lost to. So IF indiana beats OS as i expect them to, OS has to be pushed down the rankings. Since OS beat Penn St that means PS must likewise be pushed down as they cannot be rated above OS. So this creates chaos and forces the committe to actually consider the strenght of schedule. This will hurt overated teams like Miami and PS both of whom were gifted wins by sketchy ref calls at the end of games.
@MBrown-tj2gb2 ай бұрын
@@MKru-n3u This doesn't impact Miami, as they control their own destiny. Winning the ACC gets them in. PSU won't have that opportunity.

It also is funny to me, how strength 💪 of schedule is, because when we played a few teams, we were supposed to get upset, supposedly, and how did that work out for the doubters? WE ARE, going 11-1 and look out in the playoffs!!!

USC has only one loss at home (PSU), all the losses were on the road. So USC gets Notre Dame at home, going to be really interesting. This is only slightly related to the conversation, PSU needs to beat Minnesota and Maryland and then there is no room for nonsense.
