Tyler should be a top 5 draft pick. He made himself a lot of money by coming back this year. If I was an NFL GM Tyler would be my priority. What a weapon.

When you have guys running wide open down field for a TD and you still throw to the TE its not the receivers fault.

Purdue is bad, but Penn State is too reliant on TE Tyler Warren. The Penn State O needs to diversify its offensive approach and get more throws and catches to the WR'S!

Stop Warren, stop Penn State. I don’t see them beating a top 10 team without wide receivers who are able to get open. I noticed during the game that when Drew scrambles, every receiver stopped their route and was watching the play rather than cutting off their route looking for an open spot to throw to. On scrambles Drew always has his eyes down field to throw so someone needs to start taking off downfield on scrambles.They finally did it once yesterday for an easy touchdown but why aren’t the coaches teaching this stuff?
@James-wv3plКүн бұрын
@@Ekkojoy0933 you don't need wr to get open!!!!!! Trace mcsorley made a career out of underthrowing or throwing jump balls to his wide receivers. You have to have routes run to throw that way. They are not even throwing to a receiver. Wallace was wide open and caught a TD pass but he was open for 4 seconds before the ball was thrown to him. And your receivers are going to look bad because there are gonna be drops now because there never targeted.

Im a huge psu fan but I don't know about Tom allen as defensive coordinator or the fact that the offensive coordinator plays as if he's got inferior talent and has to run trick plays constantly. Simply put they have made it that no passes downfield are thrown. It was so bad that even on the TD pass to Wallace he almost didn't throw it to him. Against a good team they will struggle
@johnalyssaemilysarah1465Күн бұрын
Trick plays and failure to just line up and bully an opponent like this is telling. Spot on regarding lack of throws downfield to wideouts.
@James-wv3plКүн бұрын
What psu has now is what Franklin is and has always wanted. A head coach, a defensive coordinator and an offensive coordinator who came from Vanderbilt, Indiana and Kansas. 3 schools who routinely played with inferior talent who had to be coached up and schemed to pull an upset or two each year. I think psu plays like that in the first half of most games and then just come out in the second half and play to there strengths and potential and realize on most days there just way more talented then the team they were playing. It's a perfect world now for Franklin. He doesn't get it Manny Diaz was a big time coach who had a big time background whose defenses came into the game with a swagger. Tom Allen's defense comes in on there tip toes and find the swagger after the players realize we are better. Nothing will change till the problem is gone and Franklin the forever under dog is the problem
@James-wv3plКүн бұрын
And they showed a play by abdul Carter running from one side of the field and making a tackle on the other side and made a huge deal about it on tv. Yeah he should be a linebacker, he was last year. They put him at de because of the crazy idea in today's football that a defensive end is the position over a linebacker. Abdul Carter is a linebacker!!!!!! The defenses biggest weakness is the weakness created by putting Carter at de. Imagine how much better the defense is with Carter, King and Rojas the three linebackers!!!!!! The defense is a hell of a lot stronger with those 3 linebackers on the field

If you do not throw to a wide receiver you cannot have a wide receiver make a catch. And I don't want to hear that they are not getting open. Watch psu with trace mcsorley, they rarely were open he threw the ball up and they went up and made plays. If you don't throw to them they don't make plays. I actually hate there offense. This is what James Franklin has always wanted, dink and dunk, the only difference is this offensive coordinator runs so many crazy plays ans formations that it masks the dink and dunk. The long td pass in the second half yesterday almost didn't happen cause aller almost didn't throw it. He waited so long to throw to someone wide open
@Dan-md3hrКүн бұрын
I keep telling everyone week after week PSU can only beat the cream puffs because of their talent they can't beat a real team. Get rid of Franklin come on if you want the program to grow. He's taken it as far as he can

@@HenryCaruso-x568 Franklin will have a new wide receivers coach next year. He’ll be hyping up the receivers will be better to “take the next step” after bringing in a new coach as he always done. Franklin’s a great recruiter but he’s also one of the biggest con-men I’ve seen next to Prime. We’ve waited over 10 yrs. Already for the “next step to elite”. That will never happen under the current regime. The best coaches know how to develop players and get a 3 star prospect to perform like a 4 star prospect over their career. I’ve never seen that from Franklin. Say what you will about old JoePa but he got the best out of players and the team had discipline.
