For 900 bucks that competes well with bluetti AC180. Very nice.

Excellent presentation. Thank you. A pretty nice unit for the price. Nice to see the 5525 ports at 10-amps (are you watching this Bluetti/Jackery). Would like to have seen the capacity output and voltage on the 12v side. It obviously has to be regulated down to 12-13v from the batteries 48v so knowing the efficiency there is helpful if you are going to car/van/truck camp with it. Its maybe a little heavy and large for the capacity - one Li Time Mini is 19lbs with 1280kwh for comparison.

I like the size of the inverter on this. I have 3 pecrons with the 2000 w inverters sometimes that extra 500 would be nice. Kinda wish this was the standard for the mid size stations rather then the standard of 2000w. Nice review keep em coming!

Thanks, will do!

I bought one of these and was told there's a way to use a 100Ah LiFePo4 to extend the usable Watt-hours on it, since the proprietary supplemental battery is very expensive. Do you know of, or could you make a video of how that could be done? Thanks.

Allpowers newer powerstation (r600 - r3500) shut off ac inverter at 5% so for full capacity discharge you have to use dc output.
@BradCagle6 ай бұрын
Ahh, so probably that's why it was at 5% when I started the charge test. Thanks!
@nite_owl_II4 ай бұрын
hi, when station switch off AC (have 5% or less) does it switch on automatically when power is on in network? EcoFlow can do it, Bluetti - no
@jasonbroom71477 ай бұрын
With discount, and including tax, right around $1,000 for a very capable power station. Surprisingly high voltage range on the MPPT input, although still "only" 1,000 watts, total. This would not be a bad choice, by any means.

I agree, these things are starting to give discreet DIY built systems a run for the money. I still like the serviceability of a DIY system, but these things are really opening the door for people that just want to buy a box and go. Thanks!

Pity they aren't sold in Australia by Allpowers. It looks like an honest, capable unit. I'm sure I can get them, but without factory support.

Bummer. Yes, while using/testing this unit I was very pleased with it's function. Thanks, Ben!

As usual great review... What I am liking about it seems all the All Powers power stations even the smaller ones is the Solar voltage input range. Allowing residential panel use. Just not sure about longevity and customer support.

Nice power but will it last and will the company support it. Some bad reviews out there. Jury still out. And then it's just an anchor weight

What is the secret of getting Allpower to send you that unit for testing? I would like to test one myself, I already have two of their refrigerators units!
@BradCagle6 ай бұрын
I think they just look for people that have experience doing reviews of similar products, and then they reach out. They typically send a product that has a value proportional to your channel size. My first review with Allpowers was the R600, and then overtime they just kept reaching out to me with larger units. Thanks!

QUESTION: Scenario: if it is NOT connected to ANY Grid power, only gets power from solar string(s). And it is being used to power items that use 120V AC. If the Sun goes down, and overnight the batteries are drained until they cut off (usually 20% remaining, to protect batteries), Once the Sun comes up the next morning, will the AC ports automatically turn on, without Any user intervention, such that the items that are plugged in can automatically start up. I am thinking in terms of an NVR, Router, if loss of power, will it be able to supply power once sun is available, so nvr and router can restart on their own?
@johnmal59757 ай бұрын
It should start solar charging on its own however you will have to turn your inverter back on. I could be wrong but I do not think any power stations do that. It's a safety thing.
@BradCagle6 ай бұрын
I have not tested that scenario, but I'm pretty sure you have to manually turn the AC back on. Would be interesting to have a setting somewhere so you could enable this behavior, I do see the application. Thanks!

@@BradCagle I am searching for one, that has this specific functionality, so I can set up remote NVR systems, in a shack, on farms fields, without grid availability, and inside shack will be NVR, Router, Starlink Internet. But I need it to turn AC outlets back on automatically, otherwise, I must travel to each shack in each field, to restart the systems, eliminating the benefit. If you find one, please let me know. thanks
@J.A.D.I.P6 ай бұрын
Ecoflow does that. I have the River 2 "smaller unit" and under SETTINGS--LAB FEATURES, there's an option for AC ALWAYS ON. It states AC output will be turned on by default each time the device is powered on, saving you the trouble of manually turning it on. I would "assume" all of their newer units will have this feature.
