This is absurd. His powers arent even related to eachother, they just threw random powers in there because they thought it would be cool. Everytime there's at least one character in a show where the writers went: "Ok.. so.. he is super strong! And and.. he can.. move sh*t with his mind! Oh.. and he can.. heal really fast! Ooh and he can read your mind! and fly! and.. harness electricty! And Microwaves! And he breathes fire! and poops lightning! and travel through time! and make gold out of shit! and he's invisible! and indestructable! and he has lazors! and he can walk through solid matter! and talk to animals! WHOO yeah!" And I'm sitting here like: "Boring. ok so why not just make him god and get this over with?" Its not creative writing. Just give a character one powerset and then be creative with how he or she uses it. And then they have the hero fight the villain and they have to come up with a deus ex machina to defeat him, because they wrote themselves into a corner. "Oh his weakness? erm.. pretzels! Yeah! Just one pretzel and he's vulnerable for an hour!". It's lazy writing.

Ye thats the point they were trying to explain....OK Example. Apoc from Xmen had many powers because he was seen as a Precusor...From him all mutants eventually get stronger. The meta Gene is simply a gene that unlocks meta human abilities but its the same for all people. The power or gift you get is random. he is the first meta who was drugged up and his got many gifts. Want an IRL scenario? ppl in the army are given simular drugs as us only theirs are a more extreme dosage. This extreme dosage gives you added benefits as opposed to someone who only gets a small dosage. They explained it in the show but many ppl ignored it...or rather they have always touched on it and expected ppl to be smart enough to put it all together. Dont feel bad their explanation of the meta Gene on the CW is left vague for a reason. But from someone who is a long time comic lover i hope this gives you a better idea. Do you like Infographics? That youtube channel will explain more about how certain military army and navy ppl are giving super soldier drugs and so on. This isnt new BTW it dates back to the earliest times ofg mankind.
