The main thing I'd like to say, is take time to appreciate the fact you HAVE family and friends to cook for and gather with! All of our "gatherings " around my mom's big dining table are now in memories only. You appreciate them, but don't actually realize that in one year you could lose members of your family and that gathering HOME of 50 years is now suddenly someone else's home. Don't squabble or complain .....its truly a BLESSING. ❤❤❤

Yes, as we get older things change. My hubby and I are last in both families and we have no kids. We make something easy and watch football all day long. And remember, that's part of the day too. Love PegEgg

I couldn't agree with you more about the turkey.....I may have a sliver on my plate on the actual holiday, but come Friday morning as I watch all of the freaks fight the early morning traffic to catch the great deals on black Friday you will find me in my cozy little den, at my computer desk, in my pajamas with a cup of hot black coffee and a turkey sandwich on rye bread with extra mayo and black pepper!!

My favorite: cranberry relish! Throw everything in a food processor….bag-o-cranberries, one diced apple, one peeled and sectioned orange and however much sugar your heart desires. I use 1/3 cup of fake sugar. I believe the original recipe called for 2 cups of granulated sugar…which seems excessive to me! Either way it’s delicious!

You're lying we already had thanks giving lol! best stuffing recipe ever take a whole loaf of white bread and rip it into pieces then in a fry pan with a half pound of butter start melting the butter and chop two onions and thinly slice three celery stalks and crush two garlic cloves and cook the veggies first then slowly ad the bread rolling it around the pan toasting and broening the bread and a pinch of oregano not too much tiny pinch and salt and pepper once you've done all that put a little water in the bottom of the bird for moisture in the bird and totally alumafoil the inside of the bird and put the stuffing in and close it up good put the bird in a aluminum tray and totally cover it cook it 2 hours or longer depending on size of bird at 350 any extra I'f you made lots just put in oven in alumafoil this was an old recipe from the château Laurier hotel in ottawa p.s I promise best stuffing you'll ever have
