Is He Talking to Me?

“I don’t know that we can fully appreciate the tension, the drama, and the impact of Jesus’ words that we hear (in the Gospel) today. As part of our worship we sit in this comfortable, beautiful space. We sit, perhaps familiar with these words. Can we, though, really imagine what it was like in that synagogue over two thousand years ago? I want to help you get some sense of it. I want to help you engage the moment with your head and with your heart. And I want to invite you to experience it by listening to these words… ”
