Most people make God into something , or some entity far outside of who they themselves are .... God can be found in EVERY religion on earth ....He hides Himself within the pages of their manuscripts , books , etc.....and finally within their very own imagination and words ... The I AM ( God ) , is seen and used in the heart s and mouths of all humanity everyday , and we don't even realize it .. When man say " I AM " , he / she is announcing the presence and power of God IN HIM ....That makes man the creator of his very own life

Watched this because of the movie "Come Sunday"...That movie had me stand up and cheer "Yes!!! THE *FINISHED* WORK OF GOD." I too beleive in Christ Jesus as Savior, but accept that Christian theology does not quite capture the WHOLE MESSAGE. HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THIS. BUT...WHO IS THAT SINGER!! So removing some of the "All" constitutes actually having faith in the men that removed the "some" rather than using your own brain and faith to determine your relationship with God. We as humans refuse to admit that we don't really understand all things spiritually and that we don't have all the answers. I believe enough of the Bible to obtain my salvation or new creature existence. I however do not believe that all things in the Bible are not contradictory . Cliché type reasoning will not convince me just because brother thus and so said so. Preachers aren't infallible. No human is.

That contradicts what the bible says 2 John 9-10 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them.

@Jesse Walsh don't get your nerves in a wad over what was quoted above by C.S. Lewis. There's an important part of this popular quote that they left out above. Not sure if that was on purpose or not. The quote beings with "*I think* every prayer which is sincerely made even to a false god etc. etc." Now, this is an important piece omitted because he made it plain and clear that this is not fact or anything based on flat scripture. It's his own personal unorthodox view of god and yes it does contradict the fundie literalist take on the bible but hey...so what. The bible contradicts itself over and over time and time again so what does it really matter if someone else's opinion contradicts it.

That's commonly believed but it not true. That belief was taken out of context from the old testament. A closer observation and understanding the reason for the promise of the child to be born, in no way applies to a savior born a thousand years later. It does help one believe but it really doesn't refer to Jesus.

John 1:1 " In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word is God ......" is a direct quote from the Hindu Scriptures, The Tittiriya Upanishad 1:1 (is it coincident with John 1:1 ? Hahaha) : "In the beginning was the word OM and the Word is God." (That word OM, which actually spells AUM, became AMEN in the Bible).

Gina Reynolds - you will never know full truth. Not because God has any secrets from us (as the general Christians tend to believe) but because ultimate truth is as infinite as God is and infinite means.....forever; never ending. Incidentally, the Bible is a finite book (66 finished books) and as it is impossible to fit 'He who is infinite into that which is finite,' why do you people persist in your belief that The Bible tells you ALL about God?Think about that. Jesus, even told his disciples. "I still have much to tell you but you cannot bear it," John 16:12. Listen, the half has not yet been told. You can only know more towards truth and not all truths, because there's too much to know, the knowing of which will shock, confound and and confuse your senses. Yet simultaneously brings your greatest joy, and make you never forget to be open minded and stop thinking that you already know. You will know more towards truth and understand that you're on to something real in messages underlined and compatible with LOVE as God sees love. Which is rarely how humanity, ever perceive what the love of God to be.

Bible could make it seem that way sometimes. Im currently read a book called The bible with sources. By Richard Elliot Friedman. It explains some of the errors Pastor Pearson speaks about in this video. Im only in the middle which is mostly just the bible. I was scared to read it because i did t want to lose my faith. However i still have faith in God the creator. I dont believe like i did when i went to a COGIC church bit i still believe.
