I like the last one that you showed. They gave my brother a basic strip down walker with rubber feet on the back and, this is awful for him. He is in congestive heart failure and, has stage 4 COPD and, needs to get some walking in to help get rid of some fluids he is retaining. I am surprised that the PT or OT people haven’t helped him get something better to help him with his mobility.

The very best walker for me is a shopping cart. I don't mean this as a joke. What I mean is that I am always anxious to get to the shopping carts because I want/need support for walking and standing. I liked the shopping cart better than ever when the shopping center sprayed the shopping carts to sanitize them between shoppers. I have a tendency to fall and pass out when I am out walking. Likely I'll have a stroke, a heart attack or just plain die soon.
@scores718 Жыл бұрын
Hi. I agree. I have found a shopping cart is what I like best. Especially with some weight in basket. Otherwise I use shopping cart ( small) with cane. Bilateral support. Again some weight needed in cart. I have nice 3vwheel rollator which I hardly use. I do miss a seat( only on 4 wheel I guess)
@juligrlee556 Жыл бұрын
@@scores718 I can see the need for some weight. But the most difficult thing for me is having a cart that pulls strongly to the right or left and or has a wheel that just drags along. It's unnerving to others, but I try my best to find a cart that rolls straight ahead. I also try my best to keep to the side of the shopping aisles because some people just push others aside and I don't want to get knocked down. I have a really hard time getting back up. Courtesy and kindness is totally appreciated. I also try my best to social distance. Sometimes in the checkout lines, I keep my cart behind me so I'm not pressured by someone a foot behind me dumping stuff on the counter right at my back.

Thank you for this video. A. Challenge we’ve been having is finding a walker for someone with Parkinson’s. Ideally, it’d be nice to have something where the wheels in front do swivel for easy turning, but a more fixed rear (with tennis balls) to eliminate need to have to pick-up the walker to turn. The 4-wheel walkers tends to be a little too zippy and has a way of getting away from the person too quickly, especially for someone with slowed motor skills. But perhaps a wheelchair would be the only next step? If you have any insight or recommendations/suggestions, that’d be much appreciated.
@dreeemer2 жыл бұрын
You might want to look into a U-Step 2 walker. Just found out about it, but it seems to be made to cater to Parkinson patients. A bit pricey compared to a lot of other types of walkers, but it may be worth it for your situation.

Here's a link to our walkers and rollators. We don't typically show prices as this video is for details and features on the mobility aids and will be on KZbin for a long time. We don't want someone to see this video 3 years from now and not have the right price. Thanks for watching, we really apprecitate the feedback. www.allstarmedicalllc.com/walkers/canes/crutches

2 Questions: My question is regarding the first rollator you were detailing in your video. Do you know what type of tubular aluminum used in it's manufacturing? And do you know the wall of the tubular aluminum being used?
@allstarmedical2 жыл бұрын
The manufacturer does not go into that much detail unfortunately. I wish we could be more help.

I have been helping my stepmom try and find a workable rollator solution for her. Her biggest problem is that she also has severe arthritis problems in her shoulders, making it very difficult for her to find the strength needed to actually pull up on the straps or bars in order to fold the rollators she has seen. Do you have recommendations for rollators that fold easily rather than needing a lot of 'pulling up' strength?
@allstarmedical2 жыл бұрын
Most of the models shown are very easy to fold. They take little to no effort

Thank you so much for the video! Do you have any thoughts or advice on tray walkers? They have four wheels but instead of a seat they have utility trays on them. Are they as stable as the rollator? thanks so much
