Also, some video ideas I would love to see if they also spark your interest!: 1. “Bare minimum” routines when unexpected events happen where health/energy levels are not at baseline (e.g., menstrual week, first trimester pregnancy, etc.) 2. Energy giving tasks versus energy draining tasks 3. Season routines you have for fall/winter/spring/summer and holidays! Like for example, do you always make sure to do xyz each season, when do you start prepping for each season, what are the categories you focus on (outfits, decor, activities, recipes, movies, music?) 🤍🤍🤍

That's a good theme. Right now I'm between two jobs and I start becoming a couch-potatoe. But I regret every useless day. So let's get started 😊

Being a couch potato is so easy. It’s SO easy to slip in to. Sometimes I think the only way to stop it is to get rid of my TV. But then I think about not getting to watch movies and that’s depressing. Cognitive Dissonance I know

New follower here 🙋🏻♀️ I love these ideas! I wk from home, and I have a daily schedule. During my morning break, I make the bed and unload the dish washer. For my hour lunch, I clean the room that's specific for that day, and on my last break, I prepared dinner.😅 And of course, at night, tidy the kitchen. Saturdays are date day or grandbaby day and Sunday I meal prep my breakfast/lunch for the week. I will utilize your time blocking method for me time! 💙

This was really helpful, thank you! Having designated days for tasks instead of trying to do bits of them all each day feels so much less stressful, I'm going to make myself a schedule.

look, i really hope ryan helps with all these household chores because it is impossible to work and take care of the whole house yourself. it’s a recipe for burnout. 💜

@Kalyn I feel I kinda grew up with you (minus having children) . I stopped listening for a long minute, but this video has really truly reinspired me to be kind to myself and work towards a better me. I say this with almost tears in my eyes. Idk if it's your voice or calmness, but you truly inspire me to take care of ME in the process of taking care of others. I'm a teacher, so my "kid's" battles become mine and I lose myself in trying to help them. Thank you for reminding me that I can't be there for them if I'm not here for me. ❤❤❤❤

Thank you for this talk, Kalyn! It totally came at the right time as I'm currently thinking of ways how to structure my work week better. I've been feeling like a lot of my "old" routines haven't been working for me quite as good anymore and I've been looking for new ways how I could structure my (work) day. Having dedicated days has already been an idea, but this video has helped me with putting things in order and writing it all down in a planner. I'm really excited now to put it into practice 😁

I love the advice about time blocking! I struggle to find the balance between holding myself accountable to do the things I need to do vs allowing myself to do what I want to do in the moment. Time blocking sounds like the perfect compromise - will definitely be trying that out

Such great advice!! I love your approach to everything in life, you seem so easy going and centered 😇 I watch you in awe as I don’t know how you do it… I want to be more like you/that, but I seem to get worked up so easily about everything - I have type A personality traits as well as OCD and perfectionism. It gets frustrating and exhausting. Any tips on how to transition into more of a state of peace, grace & flow would be appreciated 💗 keep being amazing!

This remains me of the energies. Meanwhile the masculine energy is doing, action, being productive, structure, intelligence, being in the mind, etc, feminine energy is being, flowing, having fun, resting, wisdom, being in the body, etc. The things is that we all have both energies, tending more to one or another (like 70-80/30-20) and we need to have them balanced to be healthy and happy. And for us women, we need to prioritise being more in our feminine to be happier and less stressed, but for that, we need to implement some masculine energy in us and our life (and by also looking for partner who is 70-80 masculine) so that we feel secure and save to thrive in our feminine. It's so beautiful!

I love how you explained finding your flow through and within and thanks to routines. I feel similarly. I also wanted to contribute the following: I am currently reading "I May Be Wrong And Other Wisdoms From Life as a Forest Monk" (would HIGHLY recommend btw!) and in chapter 12 he touches on the fact that "people who are caught up in the fog of their own thinking, they're not present. They're limited." When I do not have a routine but have to get things done, when I set my alarm earlier but without a plan of what to do with that extra time, I am left feeling without a sense of orientation, overthinking every decision, not able to really act because I am thinking about a million things a minute. But if I know I have 1 hour to get ready in the morning, I know exactly what to do, and when to do it, and in what order. I can start my day stress-free.

Wow Kalyn, I really needed to hear this today! Been silently struggling with juggling work, home & mom responsibilities and so inspired to implement this approach to my life. It's been a while since I've watched one of your videos and this took me right back to around 2016 when I first felt inspired by your daily routine videos back when I too was in my early 20s and figuring out that stage of my life. I'm now in my 30s, married and with a little munchkin of my own and still find your content so relatable. I'm not the type of person who leaves comments but just thought I'd reach out and say thanks for always providing such great content. It's always so comforting watching your videos

Keep in mind that she works from home and doesn't have a typical "40 hours" job. So she might have more time to take care of the house. When I was on my 1 year maternity leave, I was doing more cleaning at home 😇 and my men is doing alllll the outside stuff! Thank god 😅

But the amount of cleaning she does amounts at least 10 hours a week, maybe more. Domestic work and invisible labour is still work...
