Your dad had good taste! I personally cannot get enough of this show. In fact, I had it copied by a audio/video store in my area on to a DVD. Also I had him rip the audio to CD-R, so now I listen to the soundtrack in my car while driving! It’s totally AWESOME!

I can only hope and pray this mini concert will catch the ears of more people. My advice is to turn this on and tune in! While our world slowly goes nuts, I turn to this for fulfillment - and my sanity! It’s simply the best 42 minutes available on KZbin and better than any medication.

Ik luister vanaf begin jaren 70 naar James Last. Mijn vader had longplay platen van James Last. Ik heb ze nu overgenomen en moet mijn platenspeler naar de reparatie brengen. I Love Ludwig von Beethoven, Romance in F, from James Last. I was already out of home and worked in a far State, was a bachelor and sometimes lonely.

Iv'e loved James Last ever since i was i kid, Tell you what, People keep banging on about the Philharmonic orchestra, But i don't know what you think or anyone else, But The James last Band always sounds Much Bigger More Rich, It sounds so Huge. Im'e a Musician Myself And i Play Keyboards Drums Piano Accordion, Guitar Mouth Organ, Xylophone, Sing, But what made me want to play was Listening to James last, I know a wide range of music from Pop to Country, Disco, JAZZ Rock & roll, and it all started with this man. I mean he wrote the music, Conducted, And could Play every Instrument in the orchestra, What a Talent, yet he was so humble and nice he didn't think he was talented. Well how wrong he was, Cause all these years later he has still got all his fans since he Began And more fans to, James come back and show these Amatures how it's done. Excellent Video my friend love it.

I have three LP records of James Last which my father had bought. I still play these in my BSR Record Player still in working order.
Yes.... is mutch better than new computer maded music, new modern music creates of signal generators and it is poor of harmonics, sound colors and sol-fa syllable. All old harmonists, and music creators, works hard for all those results.

I remember my parents had loads of his records when I was a kid. I hated it and thought it was so uncool! But honestly now I see this music is amazing and it makes you happy, you want to dance and you don't care what people think about you. If you watch the uploads on here you can see how happy the crowds are and they really enjoy themselves and dance and sing along. Just a phenomenal amount of talent on one stage. I absolutely love it!

That took an awful long time, Judy, to see the point of your parents. I already was given my first James Last album by my parents when I was ten years old, in the late sixties when James Last just started. No Stones or Beatles for me, but just great orchestrations. In my mid teens one of my favourites was the 'James Last's plays Robert Stolz' album. I still have it on my Imac. James Last has always been a major part of my life.
@isallah1kafir1963 жыл бұрын
@@jackmorgan1677 *Robert Stolz* one of the last Austrian composes, was he not? In my youth, (which I watched up to 1971 TV) there was one TV-Show by a Guy who called himself "Heinz Conrads" and sometimes he'd have people sing Songs by Stolz, or some instrumental Music of his. Was not my cup of tea but I'm surprised young people liked this style of music. The only time I heard James Last was after 23:00 O'Clock in a 1 hour program "Music to dream by".

28:40 The great trumpet soloist Derek Watkins on the high trumpet notes. Eventually Derek would become one of the most powerful lead trumpet players in the world and in demand for his brilliant and beautiful high note playing such as lead trumpet on nearly all of the first 20 James Bond movie scores. Incredible. Check out those high notes on 31:20. RIP Derek.
@cfb15jan4 ай бұрын
Highly talented though Derek Watkins undoubtably was, I wish I could be convinced that playing searing top C has anything to do with music!
@CaptainQueue4 ай бұрын
@@cfb15jan Hmm well, using your standard, Mikhail Baryshnikov's ability to leap 6 feet high didn't have anything to do with ballet, either, but he had that ability in the tank to make the rest of his dancing beautifully fluid and athletic at the same time. IMO Watkins stretched boundaries and was proven on about 20 James Bond films for which he played the difficult lead trumpet part. He also played distinctively beautifully, not unlike Doc Severinson who like Watkins are pretty much unknown outside trumpet circles which is sad to me. I respect your comment and feel the same way about the group ABBA and Frank Sinatra -- not music in my opinion lol.
