In this video, I'm going to show you around the Gasland portable hot water heater/shower. I recently picked this up to start prepping for hot and sticky summer camping here in the midwest.
If you're looking for a pretty budget friendly tankless hot water heater to use for warm showers on the go, then this would be a great option. Like most of these hot water showers, it comes with the basics, but doesn't include a pump. I'll talk a bit about that in the video, so check out the full thing for all the details.
If you'd like one of these for yourself, here's a link: amzn.to/49L6Z7d
And here's that Vevor pump that I mentioned: amzn.to/3wA05Dq
I'm also trying something new with KZbin memberships. It's a simple way to support the channel if you'd like and you get early access to all the videos plus some other fun perks. If you're interested, click on the "Join" button below to see how it works!

Hot shower? What wizardry is this? On the trail I take PTA baths using my father’s 1944 U.S.Q.M.C. collapsible canvas wash basin like a real man! 🤣 That is a nice setup. Does look handy and convenient if you have the room in your rig for it. Might talk my wife into one. She’s not enthralled with the canvas wash basin. Not sure why.

It's magical for longer trips. I honestly don't mess with the whole shower thing all that often since most of my trips are 4 days or less. Comfort at the cost of complexity, but sometimes it's handy! :D

I’m looking to build a shower setup my question is this better than a portable all in one setup. The all in one set ups only raise the water temp by 50 degrees if your lucky but what about these. Can I draw 38 degree water from a river and have 100 degree water for a shower?

Good question. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure, but I know they will get super hot. So, my guess would be yes because that propane really heats up the water.

@@AllThingsOverlanding sure would be a interesting video throw some water in the freezer and test it out 😃 It certainly would be helpful for people who camp in the mountains

@@WhistlepigOverland good idea. Although, if it’s that cold outside, I don’t even know that a hot shower would be worth it, haha. You’ve gotta get out sometime! 😂

@@AllThingsOverlanding in real life I will be pulling out of the river that's only fed by snowmelt even in July when its 75 degrees outside the water's only 41° so the portable systems will not be enough and I can't find any information on the water temperature difference on these tankless water heaters

Picked one of these up today for 200 CDN and tested it out. I was able to raise water from 8 degrees C/ 46 F to around 50 C / 122 F. Keep in mind that was just above the lowest flow rate with maximum heat on the winter setting. That being said, this unit produces a solid shower in a cold climate. You could also preheat the water to allow for the highest possible shower temperature.
