Nice video. Good to see how a pro WTA player approaches equipment. She comes across well, seems like a very down to earth sort of person.

Really interesting video, Harriet was really good and informed. She only had to have the racket in her hand and she could spot the differences without a spec sheet! As an Ezone 98 user I am not sure more power was needed! I would have thought a little more control would have been the way to go. Will be interesting to see what the RA is and how comfortable the racket is as often more power can be tough on the elbow etc!! Harriet came across really well and seemed so nice and really engaged in the hit, great video really enjoyable.

The new rackets are a little more plusher in feel for me, but yes, definitely more power. Try it out and see what you think!

I was really enjoying the video right up until you said Yonex give you a "new racket every year" and don't just do paint jobs. The last technology change for the Ezone was Jan 2021, 4 years ago. In 2023, they did indeed just release the exact same racket with a brand new paint job. It's exactly the same case with the VCore in 2024, just a new paint job. You can clearly see Harriet has the same 'WTF' reaction at 12:00 the second you start talking about it and then starts laughing at what you're saying. There goes any credibility for anything posted on this channel if you can be this confidently incorrect.
@alexporter70034 күн бұрын
The only thing he got wrong was to say every year instead of every new release. The other ones you mention were not new rackets but just new paint jobs of the same version of the racket (yonex do not claim they are new rackets at all, unlike other companies who just do a paint job and then claim it's a new racket)
@markhibbitt12694 күн бұрын
Wow that's harsh. So one thing you believe to be factually incorrect and they lose all credibility for everything?? Let's hope you never make an error at work or in life!!
@HungryCakeMonster4 күн бұрын
@@markhibbitt1269 It's not about the fact they got something wrong, it happens, it's the fact it's given so confidently as if it's a fact. For a review video like this, even if you didn't know basic Yonex products which I find surprising from such a tennis channel, you'd do maybe just a little research. This proves they did absolutely zero or have zero knowledge about the products they review. So yeh, why wouldn't you question anything they say after that?
@HungryCakeMonster4 күн бұрын
@@alexporter7003 I never questioned whether Yonex marketed it a completely new racket, they didn't. This is what I'm highlighting: "So when we talk about Yonex, they're a technology company. They change the tech in their racket every year. It's not like they found an ezone and then they're going, right that's it, paint job. They change the racket." This is literally all incorrect. Every single part of it, a complete lie.
@markhibbitt12694 күн бұрын
@HungryCakeMonster sorry don't agree. One mistake doesn't mean they have zero knowledge about tennis products as you say. I thought the content was really good and I can cut them some slack here. It's very easy to check racket specs on line if you think a reviewer has made a mistake or you want to see the difference in versions!
