As a childhood voltron fan (yes I am a 42 year old man, probably as rough around the edges as one can get) I watched the entire DreamWorks reboot. It didnt disappoint me until Lance and Allura became an item. Yes I rooted for Lance to win the girl (Allura) I was devastated by the outcome and her fate. Not only for her but Lance. Never thought a dumb cartoon would make a rough neck cry.... it sucks and I am still angry over this months later. They deserved to go on and be happy.

Okay look, I recently rewatched Voltron again and I still liked it. However, I will say that if the writers were planning on making these two an item they should've written the two to have more screen time. There are nice moments in the series that they could have expanded on later down the line. Now first off I would like to say that I am not against fictional characters being gay, I only care about how the characters are written and how the audience and writers treat it as a whole, and through the impact of what their relationship has on the story as opposed to them just being gay. Personally, when I look at the Klance and Plance ships I don't see any romantic connection that these characters have for one another. I see both Pidge and Lance as friends and only friends as for the Kieth and Lance pairing, all I saw were two rivals/comrades/friends and that's it. For those that are Klance "supporters", I find it sick that they wished for Allura to die because they didn't like the idea of Lance being with her. This pretty much shows how toxic these fandoms can be over anything that involves their favorite characters. If they don't get what they want, they start a riot. Now I am not saying that it's these people's fault for why the show started to degrade as time went on I'm just saying that what you say or do can leave a prolonged effect on someone or something.

I would like to correct a few things about Voltron, First his original name from Japan was GO LION, However when he was brought to the us he was named Voltron. Second, it's very common for people to Display Voltron toys with the Green lion on the right arm Red lion on the left and Yellow lion on the Right leg and Blue lion on the left leg. This is Wrong and it did Appear a few times that way in the 80s Animated cartoon but it was just an Animation flaw. And thirdly Voltron in the cartoon had lotsof white for example, his thighs elbows,and face. He was supposed to look metalic but just like the toys are with Chrome lions legs chrome or metalic faces and elbows. The reason why Voltron was painted white is because there wasn't any metalic paint for animating back in the 80s. His sword, Spear, and star cutter was also white again, Because there was no metalic paint for Animators to usei n the 80s. And for the Record, Voltron Came way before the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
