It's amazing that Hammer was both a true G and a generous boss. He went bankrupt trying to help his people by over paying his dancers and stage crew. Time to put the proper respect on his name.

I don’t think employing a lot of his friends drove him to bankruptcy. Rather, it was the thousands of suits and shoes, the 10 million dollar house, and the 17 luxury cars that did.

I don’t know why or understand why anyone would laugh or make fun of Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Kid N Play, Gerardo, etc. These were very successful people that generated millions of dollars, travelled the world and did something with their lives. It’s hard enough to get a foot in the door, let alone become a part of pop culture for any amount of time. Kudos to them all and lots of respect to them.

That's what I like about hammer. He never threw his muscle around like Suge Knight. Never was a bully never tried to intimidate anybody for financial gain or anything. However, nobody would f with the dude. I always said there was a place in heaven for hammer. He tried his best to keep friends from the hood from going back to prison. I mean he was employing dudes who didn't play instruments, didn't dance but just trying to keep them off the streets. God bless the brother.
