Polymeters are great! Another trick I use when I create baselines with filtered toms is to use the M-185 Sequencer and mute the second note of the 8, so it plays 7 notes and starts. This creates an amazing low end feeling. Super interesting video as always! Thanks for sharing

I'm 100% trying this. What tom did you use ?
@iamwildeofficial
@iamwildeofficial 18 күн бұрын
@@sharayenpather4934 you can use any tom sample from 909 or 707 drum kit, then apply saturation and a high cut filter to remove everything above 300hz and you are good to go. Just experiment 🧪

Very good info. Funny thing is that when I play techno rhytm's on my keyboard, it kinda always ends up in those shifted bars. But then I correct them, but then I loose the feel. So thats exactly what you show here! I like your content. To the point and very well info. Altough I'm more into peak techno I like this raw techno style too. Do you release music too btw?
@audioreakt
@audioreakt Ай бұрын
Yeah it’s very common to tend to go back to these numbers…especially when the grid is set that way, it push you to stay in that 2/4/8/16 length pattern. It definitely apply to peak time techno as well, this is very effective to break monotony, even if the element is secondary… I haven’t released in years, but planing to released more next year… got couple of hypno track and more ambient techno ready, but I am not gonna lie it’s hard to handle all

hi, greetings That's a funny coincidence! I jammed a bit last night and also brought the EQ8 to life with an LFO. but I wanted (again) too much of a good thing. Then I'll try it right away with your method. Have a nice weekend and best regards Björn

Great video as always, but I wanted to ask if you plan to do a video about using different time signatures. Many people get confused about this, and I'm sure you can explain this subject better than I can.

ive never thought of using polly rythums into textures and things like that . i find it hard too get away from the 4too floor 8 16 bars . coming from a hardhouse and trance background its hard too stray away from the 4too floor patterns and bar length ect awesome brother
@audioreakt
@audioreakt Ай бұрын
it's called polymeters. and yeah I think we all start with 2/4/8 bar loops and feel always very weird to have pattern with weird value that are not bars... I still have this especially with ableton where the grid i design to push you use bar length that are like 1/2/4/8 etc... I have less this with step sequencer as you see the grid in a different way...
