When the parade debuted WallE had just come out and they had the robotic WallE being shown off at Imagineering. I wanted him to be the sweeper at the end of the parade but no go. I also wanted Luxo Jr bouncing along on the first float. Alas.

OMG I forgot about Remy and the whole Rattatouille part! And I remember that the food and beverage workers, aka back of hoise chefs, used to wear those same colored pants as the chefs on stilts... and McQueen isnt in there anymore either.

@ajtartaret the music was developed at the same time even though the HK parade debuted almost a year prior. other than the main theme song and them featuring water, they share no similarities.
