I’ve been doing playing Tech Shoto a lot lately, and I’m surprised I don’t hear much about him. He counters basically every problematic character and he’s super fun to use. This buff just made even better.

Purple Shoto is EXTREMELY fun. When I first pulled him off a single when he dropped, I was super happy but couldn't really figure out how he's meant to be played and now that I've mastered his play style he's easily one of my favorites

@@nwanokwusamuel876 Alright so as you know purple shoto doesn't have any mobility so in the rapid meta it's best for you to use your moves as protection if you're on the defensive. Defensively you should throw out your gammas whenever they are available and utilize the quick cool down. They block projectiles giving you a chance to escape and gain some distance so your betas can do their job. If a character relys on close combat like froppy or Lida for example, you wanna shoot your alphas at the right time because your alpha has a freeze mechanic if the opponent gets too close causing close ranged fighters to freeze and give you enough space to do your betas. His moveset is basically built around creating enough space for your betas to carry you to victory

For cover you can also use your beta wall straight up creating a protective wall you can detonate at anytime. The scariest thing about Todo's beta is the threat of the explosion. When seeing a beta the opponent doesn't know if you'll use it to be aggressive (blow it up) or to throw it out to make them scared giving you enough time to get away. I personally go beta to 4 then alpha to 4 then back to beta then alpha but it all depends on what you use most for damage. Hope this helps 🙏🏾

One good thing about purple shoto is that you can climb to the top of the ice, working like cementoss to climb to higher places
