You are right, you can’t beat presto-chango! It’s a very nice cake. Shot 4 of them in my show last year. It’s a very light cake for sure, had to anchor them down but for around 20 bucks a cake I couldn’t pass it up!

Random question on fan style cakes why does no company instead of angling out at the top make the bores create more of an x for stability I mean I realize you may end up fitting less shots but seems stability wise it would make alot of sense to be wider at the bottom rather than the top

That sounds like a good idea, but it would make it more likely to tip over because the recoil force would be directed outward from the center of gravity creating a rotational force around the center of gravity. If a force were to be directed trough the center, it would make zero rotational force.

For what i’ve seen so far from American fireworks, I like the shells and 3” cakes the best. The 500gram cakes ect I like better here in Europe. Especially the blocks from funke! You should check that out sometime✌🏻

Sky bacon has a 200 gram cake that has 430+ shots called gigablaster. It's proformance and effects are even similar. Just a little less bang. 6 in a case for 100 and change (wholesale of course). Can't remember exactly

Take it off it helps with clean up. You don't have to but it does help with clean up and won't hurt the performance.

It's to increase structural integrity. European fan cakes uses thin cardboard paper instead. Reason behind this difference is that in USA physical size of the cake matters a lot more than in Europe: Europe don't have firework shops where customers could handle the products before buying them. In Europe importers want the cakes to be as small as possible to reduce shipping costs. Also papers on cakes are more bland and generic in Europe to reduce costs. American 500g fan cakes are often bigger than 1000g European ones. By volume that "Chaotic Incident" is larger than some 2000g cakes here..

It's fascinating that in US of A people consider Kinder Eggs and over 500g cakes more dangerous than fully enabled assault riffles. Ten years ago in Finland they banned smallest fireworks, but allowed cakes and fountains to be five times bigger (limit went from 200g to 1000g). The amount of accidents dropped more than 65%. Later they practically lifted the powder weight limit and the amount of accidents dropped even further. Right now the biggest consumer grade cake I could buy has 7800g of powder. That's more than 15x500g with single ignition. Silly thing is that this cake is much more safe than those 200g cakes one can buy..

I have seen a 200 gram cake by borthers called wildcard there 49 small breaks, I like to see how may of those shells they could get into a 500 gram cake.
