"Fitbits are just like Tamagotchis, except the stupid animal you're trying to keep alive is you" - some funny meme I found 😂 For real though, the amount of days I glance down at my wrist and I'm hardly over 1000 steps is too damn high! How do you keep moving? what fitness tracker do you use?

TO ANYONE HAVING THE ISSUE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO POWER THE WATCH ON, EVEN WHEN CHARGING: Basically, I contacted the company and it seems that this was a big oversight in the manual. Super great, complex manual, but they forgot to tell you how to turn it on lmao. Basically, the band 5 almost always comes completely dead from the factory. After all, it is a brand new battery. And, with the kind of battery it uses, it takes about 20 minutes to “pop off” and wake up the battery, if you get my drift. So, just plug the watch’s charger into a usb brick and click the other end of the charger onto the back of the watch, and boom. It’s charging. Give it at least 30 minutes , or 60% before the setup process. NOW: FOR PEOPLE WHO SAY THE BATTETY IS BS Again, with this kind of battery, it takes 1-2 weeks for it to “grow”, so expect the battery the first couple days to be dismal. But, for me, after 2 weeks, I can last an entire day with everything turned on and go to bed at 80%. That reminds me of Another thing. If there is one thing that smart watch owners hate doing, it’s charging their smart watch. Well, this one charges super quickly. So, i would advise to wear this thing 24/7 (unless you don’t want to wear it to sleep, in that case charge it at night) and only charge it while you are during the shower. It often charges to 99% or so, while i’m in the shower. And I take quick showers. Hope this helps!

Yes theres no on or off method, it'll just turn on when it has charge, and off when it's flat haha, different to most smart devices. Good to hear you've solved your charging issues. And the long battery life is phenomenal! You're right, charging is lightning fast, I'll pop it on, go do something, wonder where my watch is, and realise it's on charge, usually done by the time I realise I'm not wearing it haha

Amazing review, so much better than others fitness bands reviews on KZbin. You actually fully test it and use it unlike other where they just run the features out and show you the product. Keep doing great video and I hope you get more subscribers. I'm definitely thinking of buying one, I just need one to track the amount of calories I burn a day to help me loose a bit of weight, so hopefully this will do.

Thank you! Ive been wearing this every day since the vid, my $300 smartwatch sits in a drawer as I prefer this one. Only issue I've got is it'll randomly prompt to say "next goal" but not tell me what it is haha. But for the price ,it gives so much value and sleep tracking is great given its battery life is 2 weeks so it actually stays in your wrist over night unlike many smartwatch users that have to put on charge

Awesome review, best I have seen. I love my band 5 except swimming app seems faulty (getting a new one to verify); could not exit out of it after my open water 1/2 mile swim 🙁. Also indoor walking freaks out if connected to phone/zepp app since GPS is not moving much against steps, so a good activity to add by zepp/amazfit would be indoor walking. I am 62 yo but my PAI fitness age is 33, not sure how accurate that can be but my PAI has been ~150 for over a week which make me feel good.
@camshand3 жыл бұрын
Oh that's a shame, I hardly swim so wasn't really able to test out that feature so thanks for the info! As for issues with indoor tracking, you select Treadmill. This will track movement of walking or running indoors without a GPS signal 👍

After I bought one of these, I realized how “inflated” my GTR 2 was as a lot of the core features are IDENTICAL. The three biggest advantages of the GTR 2 is the gorgeous larger display (cannot lie), on-board GPS for exercise (don’t care about this feature) and more exercise modes. Are these enough to warrant the far more expensive “upgrade?” To me, it’s a hard call, but I’m trying to clean up my wearable “bloat.” I’m even going to try a Charge 4, to see if it can replace my Sense I recently picked up. I just wish the Fitbit devices supported Pulse Ox spot checks like the far cheaper Amazfit devices I own can. Maybe an update will allow this? As for the Amazfit Band 5, I will say features like Alexa are awesome to have on such a small device. Maybe the Amazfit Band 6 (don’t think we will see one, with parent company Xiaomi under scrutiny) will have the larger screen from the Xiaomi Band 6, and a few more bells and whistles?

Extremely curious how did you do the watch hologram at 00:03? 🤯
@camshand2 жыл бұрын
It was a little tricky, filmed the watch face top down with each of the menu options showing. Cropped the footage to be just the screen in editing, and used a blending option possibly screen to make any dark colour transparent. Then added glitch/fade between the menus and finally motion tracked it to my arm to give the *hologram* feeling from my wrist 👍

Yeah same for me too which is annoying. Would be better to add the current time on the top like it does in exercise mode (however that is too faint in bright environments). I've sold my Mi Band 5 since the vid so can't compare to it, but yeah it's annoying that it locks the screen to the active mode only

Do you know if you can edit the distance you went on treadmill once it saves it? It only recorded .5 miles but I went 3.5 miles and I want to change it. Thanks.
@camshand2 жыл бұрын
I don't believe there is Brenda, I just checked in my app and can't find a way to manually enter information. It should be basing exercise performance metrics on heartrate and duration mostly, so the distance would be more of a record keeping element.

So, did we have to connect the band into the app first to sync fitness tracking in the app? Or we can just do exercise and connect it them with app, and it will sync the latest data?
